no, actually I read this site to keep up on all the ways various idiots try to screw up my gameplay in WOW, and what actions to watch for in order to report players to Blizzard.

People who are smart enough to write clever macros and mods I have a grudging respect for. Newbies who download the latest hacks to get a big bad character in WOW I don't.

Thanks for the input Psalms (interesting choice of a user name btw). I'll be watching for your characters round booty bay.

As I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil or anyone trying to report me as I have my exploits to comfort me.

I generally only speedhack just to get griffen points. I do find it useful when turning in quest in areas no one is at. As a rogue people will just think I am stealthed.

I can at least appreciate the odd sort of way you've limited the use of your hack, although I'm guessing it's more not to get caught than from any sense of fairness in the game. But consider how your actions can impact everyone.

Blizzard has decided (with good reason) that people will only put up with so much hacking in a game system. In order to keep people paying their monthly fee, Blizzard has to work to keep hacking to a minimum.

Blizzard has to pay someone to do this....pay their salary, retirement, 401K, health, etc. The more hacking there is, the more people they have to pay.

Blizzard has to come up with money to do this.

Blizzard will charge me, a monthly subscriber, to get that money.

If Blizzard finds it cannot charge a fee high enough to stop hacking and that not enough people will play in a hacked system, then Blizzard will probably just get out of the continual online game.

I'm sure that me using a speed hack will cause blizzard to shut down WoW. If that was the case then UO and Shadowbane would have went down years ago.

if you get caught shoplifting you can go to jail, if you get caught speed hacking can you go to jail?
I don't remember seeing a box on any apps that say "Have you ever been caught for speedhacking?" The dude has no point that by me speed hacking it will cause blizzard to raise prices in the online game. I have been playing online games since when UO first started and only with the improved graphics and game play have they upped the price, not because of people exploiting.

sry guys - but i must say that anyone who use cheat programs, no matter where you use it - daoc, uo, wow....

is only a sign if your own weakness and incapability and definitely a lack of honor !

that are the same guys who shoot you in the back and howl then they won the duel in a fair fight.....

i know all you wimps using cheats, not matter where, dont like to hear that, cause its always painful to accept the truth

Spoken like someone who knows next to nothing about what goes into building a large-scale application, game or otherwise. No shocker given that your "work" is playing games.

My "work" is not PLAYING games, but EXPLOITING games. Although with WoW I don't see many ways to exploit. In fact besides speed hacking I have only heard of a couple of dupes which I could not make work. And no I have never made a MMORPG or made my own OS, but I have hacked or made some little code that will exploit both.

Here's a couple of facts that are indeed facts.

Fact: I continue to use a speed hack with WoW to get from point A to point B.
Fact: I never use speed hack without being stealth or in PvP.
Fact: I used speed hack the first day WoW came out
Fact: I logged into my account today

Now with those facts, my theory would be that Blizzard has no way to detect anyone is using a speed hack program unless I am reported and a GM watches me speed hack.
