WowBobber Discussion Thread : World of Warcraft Nerfed Info

I am not sure it will work if XU is running. Can you try running it with just wow running? Also redownload to make sure you have the latest version.

not working for me.

I've tried this several different ways.
I've loaded Exhume.exe, opened WoW, logged in, closed Exhume.exe (no dialog pops up for it, so I ctrl+alt+del it)
Then I run the RunMe.exe, choose to run as notepad. It creates the files, I load the newly created notepad and I get the following errors.
"Please run Exhume.exe once first!"
then a second dialog box pops up with "Error: most likely failed to login to XUM security."
Then WoWBobber pops up but doesn't work.

I manually registered the DLL's, and I am running DX9.0c. I've also tried running WoW then running Exhume, and mixing and matching their order. When I load Exhume.exe am I suppose to have some sort of dialog box? Cause nothing pops up for me, just goes to the Processes and sits.
Anything else I should try? Thanks.

Did some digging in the forums and found some info on Exhume (had no idea what it was to be honest). So apparantly the first time I run the program I'm suppose to let it sit for a few minutes. I also read that people may have problems loading this if they are behind a firewall. Well, I'm behind a router, but no software firewall, and it's been sitting well over the described time. If it is my router blocking it, can anyone inform me of what I need to do to let it go through or something else I may try to get this working? Thanks.

All ehxume.exe does is download a file called exhumehelper.dll. If you have that file it should run. If you cannot get up exhume.exe to bring up a login window, you have other serious windows problems. As exhume runs on a fresh copy winxp with the script debugger installed, I'm not sure how I can help. I would think getting exhume.exe to run would be your first goal. It could be a antivirus program killing it, or some other security measure. It should load up a login dialog box.

Yeah, I've been trying to get Exhume working now. I've attempted this on 3 separate PCs. None with anti-virus, all on the same router. Exhume downloads the DLL just fine, but then sits in the processes doing nothing. The same happens when I attempt to register the DLL manually on another PC. Both PCs sat overnight with no luck. The only thing I can think about is the router blocking something, since Exhume has to connect to a server I guess. If that's the problem...any info on getting my router to stop blocking it, or atleast see if that's the issue? Is there a port I need to forward somewhere? I'm just at a loss right now.

Just tried it on my girl's PC and she got the login screen. So...what's so different about my 3? Others have obviously had this problem, is there a fix or any other help available?

To register the dll it doesnt have to contact the server. So thats not it.

so what do I use in combination with this?

there are alot of fishing tools that it would work well with. Autoit ones and blackmoons for example.

I can open exhume.exe and when I login I get this window and the title is Exhuma - Untitled.vbs

but when I click the .exe I generated I get this.
I get this: ERROR, most likely failed to login XUM security.

Your ban occurred as a result of using the bobber mod?

can you confirm it was from the bobber mod and not from anything else?

I have a feeling he used other mods/programs. This alone is not near popular enough to get flagged by bliz.

More than likely is is the fishing script he was using. Please let us know what script/setup you were running. And if you had any previous warnings/tells before.

If you get fishing AFK, get ready for a ban.

It is very easy to tell if a person is running a script.

had a question, when ever i try and run this, i does the usual askin me to log into my account, then it looks like it starts but then the box disapears and then i cant start anything, my msn closes, cant open task manager, and it does nothing to my bobber. might be because im running Vista but not sure.
