Current Features

Darkfall Input: A small tool that will pipe input from a scripting language (like AutoHotkey) directly into Darkfall. This allows a macro to be run without Darkfall as the active window.

Darkfall Alerts: Monitors some events in Darkfall and can alert you when they happen.
- Play a sound when a chaos chest is within 300m.
- Play a sound when you receive a private message.
- Play a sound when any movement is detected within a given range.

Zoom Hack: Allows slightly more zoom when using a melee weapon.

Right now the proximity alert doesn't differentiate between players or mobs, which makes it useful for mining but not useful for farming mobs. I'm still considering whether or not to change this to player movement only, because it's a public tool and we don't want all the PvE'rs running away from us.

I have it running on a Windows 7 test machine. What problems are you having?

When i click the install exe it doesnt seem to wrong 20 secs later Windows gives a prompt saying it doesnt think it was installed properly, with 2 options of install with recommended settings or the program was installed correctly. I have tried both yet it still won't work or show up when i logg in game.

are you running as an administrator? and are you extracting the data to your hd?

i did extract it to HD and no i wasnt running as admin, do i need to run the app and DF both as admin?

clockwork, you really need to rename the exe as 'install' makes windows 7 believe it is an installer, and since it doesn't 'install' anything, it generates an error about not being installed right

calling it dftool.exe or any other name than setup.exe or install.exe (I named it after a common windows service, in case of scanning) will prevent it from causing the 'failed to install' windows 7 error

EDIT:
STEPS FOR USE
1. Rename exe to another name, but make sure you keep exe suffix
2. Run Darkfall
3. Log into Darkfall
4. Once you are In-Game, run tool

Note: Step 1 only needs performed once, and do NOT use install.exe or setup.exe

Note: Do not change name of the dll file

Error will go away, and everything will work.

When it beeps, is the chaos chest somewhere on your screen? I ran around for an hour, heard around 8 beeps and never found 1 chest. I even lowered the distance.
