real items, ive not tried any work orders as of this time

update: i tried using WO, and the auto set up does not get checked, thus WO's do not work either. This is odd because everything worked nicely up to yesterday.

update 2:

Although I tried this before installing your latest update with no success, apparently re-doing the mouseclick setup after the latest patch has fixed the problem.

I'll let you figure out the why's of this....I just know it thankfully works now ;)

cepolly wrote:Still no-go. I installed the program on 5 machines. Only one has VG as I really don't have time to load vg on 5 systems. Does VG Extreme 1.1 & 2 need VG just to authenticate or start the authentication process? my guess is no, there should be no need.

Here are my errors:
1 - No response when I click authenticate. just repops the window.
2 - Virus alert. i added t to exceptions on AV and Win FW.
3 - Or i get a windows error:
VGExtreme has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

At this point I'm at a loss. Is it that my pc is locked down with all patches and anti-spam/phishing etc. Remember I cannot even get to the forums from my PC or any pc on my lan. I have to go outside my lan to post on forums.

I tried 1.1 and 2. - 1.1 gives me the windows error and 2 gives me the repop.

Any help figuring this out would be great. Are there any diagnostics I could run to get a better understanding on this?

Thanks,
Cepolly
VGExtreme does need Vanguard not only installed, but logged in to at least character select to work. This check is done by VGE itself and is required so it can initialize offset addresses properly. Normally, though, launching VGExtreme itself (not the bot, just the service), version 1.0 on the forums or version 2.0 included with my bot package, without VG running should give a message box that says "Vanguard was not found. Please restart when it is running."

I'm pretty sure the check for Vanguard is one of the first activities VGE does during initialization (before any attempt to contact the authentication server), so if it's not even getting to that point, there may be something missing, like the MS Script Debugger. Try running Exhume.exe and see if it loads. If it doesn't, find the troubleshooting threads for Exhume elsewhere in the TU forums and follow the instructions. It is also possible your network configuration may prevent proper authentication.

If Exhume loads and authenticates fine (we're talking only about 1.0 here), then close it and delete all files in your exhume directory except exhume.exe and updatevgextreme.exe (you can keep the vbs files or other files that are obviously not part of the program...any .dll, .tgb and vgextreme.exe get deleted). Run updatevgextreme.exe and allow it to patch all files.

Now try running vgextreme.exe (make sure Vanguard is running). If it opens and authenticates fine, run the default script that loads. It should create a window with some character stats and nearby object data that changes as you turn or move. If this works, then the service is working fine. From here, ACB1.1 could be loaded and run, although the offset files are out of date.

Assuming you got to this point, extract the acb2.0 bot package in a directory OTHER THAN YOUR VGEXTREME 1.0 DIRECTORY. Also download the new exe update I posted today and extract it into the same directory, overwriting the old file. Start Vanguard then run AdvancedCraftingBot.exe If you reached this point successfully, it should work.

I have a suspicion the authentication is getting blocked. Are you trying to do this from a work LAN?
I will try this tomorrow.

It is a small work LAN that I run in my office.
Are there ports I need to unblock on my pix?

Everything up to here works fine.

One thing to mention, when I do run ACB1.1, I get:

Error: line: 26, Char: 4 :: Object required: 'VG'

in acbinit.vbs.

I dont know if this has to do with the offsets or not. VG is running and the "defualt" script ran just fine before I loaded up ACB1.1.

redownloaded, updated with the new file and it still keeps bringing up the same authentication window with the red "1." in it. No error messages, no hints at what could be wrong, just that same authentication window I posted on page 1.

Farkem:

Try also running VGExtremeService.exe (the new one). It should provide a login prompt same as the old VGExtreme.exe and the familiar debugger window once in. It also loads a default script you can run to see if everything is working with the new service. This doesn't 100% guarantee whether or not it will work when used as a reference. You will see it's obvious the two login prompts are different. I'm not sure if wyvernx has the authentication going a different route with the MMOViper prompt.

For the ACB1.1 error you are getting, the VG object is within the VGExtreme service itself, not declared in the script. To test it further, load the VGExtreme.vbs (default script when VGExtreme loads), change the line "bTestChatLog = false" to "bTestChatLog = true" and run. If it works, then stop the script, reload acb1.1 and try running again.

cepolly:

I do not know what ports would need to be open or whether the login is using TCP or UDP. I did not write that code.

rommel62:

There should be no relation between mouseclicks and the auto table setup, except for clicking the checkbox itself. Since you said it was turning it on and off, that wouldn't be the problem. My thoughts are that you just needed a restart of VG and/or the bot.

For the "1" in the login prompt problems, this is from wyvernx:
Usually means either bad username/password (have them login to the Register to unlock hidden link page)
I get a 404 when trying to access that page, but verify your userid/pw

I tried again and still get the '1.' alone.
I tried again a 2nd time with a bogus username just to test if the '1.' was working as intended. This time I got a full error message:
'1. Premium Account not found with supplied Registration Code/Password.'

Here is the correct site to visit:

Register to unlock hidden link

Log in there to make sure you have premium access active on your account. wyvernx again stated this is related.

It looks like I am finally authenticating but I now crash with the MS Send/Dont Send box.

Anything I can look at here?

By the way, anything different you're doing with authentication now? That info may help others with the same problem.

Nothing other than changing the password. Also my ISP's IP range was tagged by tault as part of Yahoo! slurp.

They did something and now I can get further.
I still never start the actual bot.
I click authenticate and it pauses for a bot and then I get the MS error.

I am PM'ing you the details.

I sent you a PM back.

How far does it get now? Do you get the splash screen? Do you get the bot status window? Start VG but try minimizing everything before trying to launch the bot to make sure the splash is in the foreground if it gets that far.
