VGExtreme - DiplomacyBot 2.2 : VGExtreme Programs

From what you wrote it sounds to me like the memory locations changed and broke the offsets. That would be Wyvernx's department. As soon as he updates the VGExtreme it should work.

Also, it seems (from what you've written) that the bot cannot determine how much expression you have (which is pulled from an offset that Wyv will need to fix). If it were not able to determine cooldown, it would just click from left to right until a card was played, however, it will not click a card if it doesn't think it has the expression to pay for it.

Will pm Wyv about this.

Thanks Mythic. Kudos for a very useful script you wrote, I found it to be very useful while it worked. To add a bit more detail to the problem, the program essentially will get to the first card, and successfully play it. But on each successive turn while it cools down, the mouse pointer on each parley will attempt to replay card 1, then will use "listen" for that parley. This continues for each successive round until either the card is refreshed and can be played again, or I eventually lose the entire parley. It sounds like you already know the problem, but wanted to add some detail.

Once it (hopefully) works again, I look forward to using it again!!

thanks

Is it safe to assume this still doesn't work? I'm trying it for the first time, so it may just be me for some reason, but when I try it in test mode, my hotbar just cycles up from its current hotbar number, ie: 1 to 2 to 3 ... 10, and goes back to 1.

I haven't tested this, but I don't think there's been an official vge release since this trouble was first posted, so it's likely still broken. Bear in mind that in the next week or two GU6 should be coming out, which will probably break most of the offsets again.

Wyvernx has had a lot on his plate with the MMOViper releases, and probably just forgot about this. Heck, I did. PM him as a reminder.

Unfortunately, I doubt it. The only item that gets any attention in recent times is the crafting bot by beergeek, which is awesome. This diplo bot also was a nice tool when it worked, but the author of it left VG, thus it became like mostly everything else around here...a tumbleweed.

Try running some of the older bots in the new vgextremeservice that I posted in my craft bot thread. wyvernx never did officially release it, but it's much more likely the offsets in it work where they may not in the current vgextreme posted in its thread. The newer one was completely rewritten and contains code that detects the "base" offsets automatically, making it resistant to patches. The old vgextreme may have it as well, but it's been so long since I used it, I'm not sure.

I began working on a Diplomacy bot awhile back..beergeek, you may remember all that when wyvern first released the code we could use to make our own programs. At any rate, I gave up due to the patches killing the offsets so it was next to impossible to test anything. Is there any chance Wyvern, you could have the offsets loaded in a simple text file or something so we could change that stuff ourselves? It still leaves me the problem of figuring out what the new address locations are (I'm horrible at memory reading), but I at least have a chance of getting something done that way. It also saves you the hassle of constantly having to update.

what happened to the sources? hdd crash?

Probably right, though... I haven't heard a request to update the craft bot in about two months, and updates for the past year rarely exceeded 5 downloads.

At some point I may just post my sources to the craft bot for S&G.
