Guide to PvP Ownage

Knowledge of Self and Opponent -
A chinese saying goes 知己知彼百战百胜, meaning that if you know yourself and your opponent well enough, you will win 100/100 battles.

Know youself - Know your limits. Do not try to kill someone 13 levels above you, as you stand no chance of winning.
Know your opponent- You cant get to know everyone in game, therefore you would need good judgement to predict your opponents.

Brief Info:
1. If it only shows the clan, then the player is yellow or higher to you.
2. If it shows the clan and the class, then the player is white to you.
3. If it shows the clan, the class and part of the level; i.e. "Golden Blossoms -", then they are green to you
4. If you can see their full level, such as "Five Dragons 5", then they are light blue or dark blue to you.

This can also be seen through :
Weapon- learn to memorise every type of weapon in game. you would not want to fight someone holding a weapon with requirements too much higher than your level.
(note: some cunning highlevels tend to use low level weapons to look newb, in 9dragons, players can also equip weapons of requirements alot higher than their level, so do not be fooled)

Ephithets- learn to memorise the quality and effects of the ephithets. Similarly, you as a FD will not attack a "Slayer of Beasts"
(note: for ephithets, high levels may also want to act like a low level by using a weak ephithet to fool people)

Equipments
Rrfinement of weapon, seen through the colour of glow:
White - 3
Green - 5
Blue - 7

Relics
Pockets

Level Build and Skill:
They give big advantage/disadvantage over stats and damage. With significantly higher skills, you may be able to match someone with slightly higher level but lower skills. Also a build fit for pvp is an advantage.

Active > Passive
It is always wise to scan your area so that you would know who is nearby, so that when you see an enemy, you could act first, (hide, run, fight or ask for help). Also always make sure to talk to potential allies so that they will help you when in need.

Experience and Skill -
What and when to use which skills: using the finishing move to catch up with kiters. When to run fight or chase: When you see your opponent fleeing a balanced fight, he may be buying time for his allies to help. You must learn to choose to when to fight (when you are sure that he will be dead fast) chase (make sure you are not led into an ambush) or run (buying time or using your advantage in movement speed). Always let your allies know that you are in a PvP even if your target is weaker than you, just in case his gang comes before yours.

I would add this:

some clans have some hidden (dis)advantages like :

- beggars can buy a cheap wardrobe that other ppl cant afford on same level (4 pockets jacket and pants), so they have an advantage of additional pockets, which can boost their stats, ofc. Think twice before attacking some of them.

- Green wardrobe items for shaolin and SF clans (4 pockets with stats that bosses drop in Mansion of silver coins/Wild Tower) are pretty rare and therefore expensive. It is most likely that only a higher levels can have this kind of equipment.

---------

Regarding levels of players, you can easily find approx. lvl of your opponent if you grind in Conqueror Cave. Each area of mobs is designed for certain level, so if you run accross that area, try to remember the names you see. It is the best guide for knowing how far some player has advanced in game. Also, not a bad way to explore things in game :)
