I'm simply applying because I've got the game and I play it close to every day - meaning I have to find solutions to the problems I find in the game and therefore being able to help out others who end up with the same problems.
I also feel like I'm a competent Windows XP and Vista user, I know some problems caused by Vista which can easily be fixed, having both of those operating systems I can help more people out.
I'm a mature person able to make a difference out of right and wrong, my English skills are hopefully understandable enough to get what I'm saying.
So all in all; I'd say I could both help people out with problems occurring in-game and help out when it comes to 'flame wars' and the like.
Ps. I joined today, however that does not mean I'm not experienced. I understand if you don't feel like I'm the right person.

I'd like to apply as well.
I browse these forums daily anyway. Any type of experience you're looking for? I don't have much moderation experience except for a few player run uo server forums, but I'd love to try.

I would like to extend my hand in this.
I've been playing MMO's since the launch of UO and have played just about every one of them. In addition to playing the games, I have been posting and helping with various forums for a long time. I've helped moderate UO forums, guild forums, as well as a few smaller strategy based forums, and Wikis.
My background is in web development, programming, and web-based marketing, because of this I've developed a knowledge base of answers to many questions and can analytically handle most situations.
Beyond the technicalities though, I love AoC and MMO's in general and would be thrilled and honored to help moderate a forum in a site of this caliber. I post daily, play the game daily, and am constantly connected via my smartphone. Coming from a technical background, I'm used to supporting people and helping as needed and pride myself on my abilities to resolve situations both in game and outside.
So, with all that said, I express my desire to help moderate and even if I don't recieve this position, I will still pay my yearly subscription for premium. =)

Ive mostly done guides aso. in the eq2 section but since im starting to get more active in this game i thought, heck why not.
Im 21 and from Denmark, under education as a computer technician so i got a good grasp about mechanics behind most games.
So far on this site ive done guides and ive been using the xhume in eq2 but im hoping that its gonna get extended to AoC.
Looking forward for your reply, and if you need more info just send me a PM

By my post, you can tell I am applying as well :p
I actually do not play as much as I search for information and tools for AoC. I am an avid searcher and have gone to many sites, seeking more and more information.
In the past I ran a guild on WoW (Warsong) and am familiar with the backend of phpbb, including but not limited to admining and moderating forums.
I have a belief that on boards - you have more control of what you say, so there is no excuse for cursing. Cursing when you type is not excusable.
English is my first language and only language. I am over 30, and while I would like to call myself an avid player, I am more an information seeker.
I visit this site at least 2-3 times a week, to check out the latest posts, and in most cases read all the posts for all the exploits and guides.
I do however have one caveat. I believe that if a post is reported nerfed, we should lock the post, so that others don't keep bumping a dead thread. Nothing quite so annoying as seeing a post by the OP posted in 2006 and peeps still asking for help, when it was nerfed 3 months later.

I have played AoC since beta and am currently 60+ working my way to 80 within this week. I have a very well established guild that have come up with very intricate strategies and we are always looking to see if there is some exploit or another to use but not abuse.
I have previous mod experience with a few FFXI underground sites and have contributed a few guides and suggestions on the AoC forums as well as FFXI forum on Tault and community sites. I understand the rules on being impartial and using sound judgement to ban users based on ill actions after warnings. I am a very involved poster when it comes to forums usually including a lot of detail and reasoning behind any post. I am currently a premium user so the perks doesn't entice me much(lies). This site helped me a lot with FFXI and hopefully as a mod I can help make AoC in Tault become as good as FFXI and WoW. I have tons of time to check on these forums and usually am glued to the PC.
Regarding exploits and such, I can personally test them out but I am not sure what the policy is regarding a mod testing exploits and giving a personal nerf. I also have numerous other copies of the game unregistered and access to another credit card so getting banned for testing is not a problem for me.

I can assist as a moderator. You have all my personal info in your db from signup. What you don't know is I'm a former guild leader of Red Cell:
www.redcellguild.com
My nick there is Undertaker, and you can PM me there for verification. I've been an admin there untill recently - I stepped down due to the current crew coming mostly from WoW and they're a bit carebear and young for me.
I'm also a core member of Kill Cult: www.killcult.com same nick there.
I've played every significant MMO since UO beta.
I'm 54 and a retired police captain from New Jersey.
If you need anymore info, you can email me through my listed email address.

I feel I would be a good mod for the Age of Conan forums because I am an avid Age of Conan player and have one character at almost level 80 and the fact that I am in the largest and most hated PvP guild on my server so i'm always keeping up with whats going on in terms of the latest glitches/exploits/hacks/etc they've found.
I've also had a lot of experience with forum moderations. I served as the moderator for one of the largest .NET development communities and was responsible as a section leader for a couple of the development technologies. I also spent a signifigant amount of time building up my own guild forums for WoW, Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot and understand the forum technologies.

I think I would be great for the job because I have helped mod a very large forum before (I can provide a name if necessary). I do not have that many posts here but I can have my eyes on this forum for atleast 10 hours a day (my real-life job all I do is surf forums). I get along with people well and would love to help out! I guess it also helps I am constantly playing AoC when not at work, and have found a few exploits (most of which were severe and got fixed fairly quick.).

Evening,
I am new to this site however being a moderator here is something that is starting to interest me more and more as I browse through the content and its community.
I am currently in the Customer Service field, specifically for Rogers Communications spending three years on the phones dealing with customers and now in a senior management position at one of the call centers so I have a wide area of responsibility and at times are needed to moderate several employees (Those are the fun days. ) With that behind me and moving forward I believe it gives me the ability to be an effective moderator within these forums.
I currently view the website frequently since registering (yesterday!) both from my desktop and my blackberry and enjoy browsing the AoC content and those talking about it.
This game is of high interest to myself and plan to be a member here and in AoC for years to come, I also love discussing and finding new ways to get around things in the game. I work all day, so don't mind a break in the game from time to time! But that doesn't mean I don't like doing things like this for a hobby aswel, because I indeed do!
In closing I am also an Administrator for the internal Rogers Communications bulletin board here in Canada although it does not have as much inappropriate conversations done in it due to the business side. There is normally half of an hours work for me to go through the forums and correct things that were posted to change speculation with facts, correct this and that and what not. My day is pretty much spent on the internet or at my desk. So I have all the time out there! Unless im at home and my son is going nuts and the girlfriends no where to be seen!
Cheers,
Feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions.
-Derek
