Once upon a time, the citizens of Dereth prayed to the Guardians for hookable portals. For ages we dreamed and wished for a way to get around Dereth from our homes. Just when we had all but given up, the Guardians answered our prayers, although perhaps not in the way in which we had imagined. We now have a large number of options for portaling from mansions, as well as some additional magical items that can be used from any home.

While these portal items are mansion-hookable only, they still provide a nice way for people to get around Dereth if their Monarch owns a Mansion. The decision to make them Mansion-only was done in an effort to get more interest and value out of a Mansion. For those of us who have access to them, we just love the new options. Portals aren't the only things we can hook on Mansions, but they are certainly some of the coolest things.

This guidebook will list the available hookable portals for Mansions, detailing how they are obtained and where they portal you to. It will also list items that can be hooked for other uses, including buffs, and gaining spellcasting knowledge.

In the beginning of this year, we were given the ability to hook up to seven portal devices, as well as two additional 'Mansion only' magical devices. This gave even more freedom to Monarchs to give their followers the ability to get around Dereth.

Note that the Burun King Quest portals are a random reward, along with the other random rewards given, (xp, bags of salvage). You may need to repeat the quest to get one, or trade for them.
