SNF Epic Villain Pentad Tournament

Greetings everyone. This is the Merry Prankster here again to announce the event of the century!

Saturday Night Fights in conjunction with the PvPEC and KPOW Justice Radio will be hosting a 3 month long event to celebrate the release of Issue 11 on Justice Server.

This event will be a mix of PvP and PvE. We wanted to bring together all of the best aspects of CoX into one glorious event!

Starting January 12, 2008, KPOW Justice Radio and Saturday Night Fights will be host to a three month long PvE/PvP extravaganza! Staring Justice Radio DJ sponsored Villain pentad teams, that will all begin life together at level two. Each team will be tasked with living, leveling and fighting together as much as possible. All the while being counseled & cajoled, by their sponsors and berated and belittled by apposing sponsor DJs on the air. All done of course in the spirit of good fun. Which is why we’re all here right? To have fun!

On January 12th, Saturday Night Fights will kick off with an all DJ rumble. Just to determine their pecking order for the player draft. At this point the DJs will then begin a school yard style player draft for their teams. Once the teams have been decided all drafted players will then decide amongst themselves who will represent which ATs. Then go roll their new toons, run the tutorial and then report back to Pocket D, with their shiny new level two villains. And this being an SNF event, we will then proceed to pound each other. Ya know, just to get the juices (and mutual animosity) flowing.

Then the teaming will begin. It will be left up to each individual team to work out their play schedules. But there will be scheduled grudge matches to size up your opposing teams, which will be limited by level until the Final Showdown.

The level capping is done in order to try to keep a fairly level playing field. Not everyone will be able to devote as much in game time as some of you freaks out there.

So here’s a general break down of the scheduled events;

January 12th Opening Night DJ Rumble, Player Draft & Level 2 Team Rumble

February 2nd Featherweight Team Rumble 14 - 21 and Best Team Theme CC

February 23rd Lightweight Team Rumble 22 - 26 and Best Individual Bio & CC

March 8th Welterweight Team Rumble 27 - 31 Then one week leveling Frenzy!

March 15th Middleweight Showdown 32 - 37 Use every dirty trick in the book!

And as we all know, you can’t have a Tournament without trophies and prizes right? Oh have we got prizes (for the Final Showdown anyway)! And to all the winners, RL trophies to laud over your friends and family. Just so that they can see who the REAL big dog in your house is.

1st Place - Real life trophies to all team members.
2nd Place - Real life trophies to all team members.
3rd Place - Real life trophies to all team members.

Costume contest prizes will consist of some kind of rare salvage or recipe.

Highest Level toon at end of Event to receive special prize!

But remember this folks, the real winners here will be the participants. No matter what your teams standings at the end, you will have had one rocking good time. And that’s what it’s all about right?

Well, I hope I’ve managed to spark some interest here folks. This could be a great way to make new friends and if you’re new to PvP, this should provide the perfect vehicle to get yer feet wet in a fun and friendly environment.
