Welcome to our tour of Atlas Park!

We hope that both new and experienced Heroes will find this tour interesting and useful. In many ways, Atlas Park is the center of Paragon City for Heroes. Besides being a great place to spend time after missions, relaxing, sightseeing, and meeting other Heroes, it also offers easy access to The Hollows, a common destination for Heroes of all levels. In addition, Atlas Park contains more Exploration badges than any other zone.

WARNING: There are level 1-6 villains in our fair city, including Clockworks and Hellions. Keep your claws, paws, and capes on the main roads whenever possible.

Maps and Your Location
Before we begin the tour, we'd like to mention maps and your location.
You can access your in-game Map by either pressing the "M" key, or by clicking "Map" in the Nav window. On the Map, your Hero appears as a green arrow, pointing in the direction you're facing (your green arrow may have a white dot to distinguish it from other green arrows). We also recommend that you look at the more detailed map of Atlas Park that is available at http://www.vidiotmaps.com/coh/index.php ... atlas_park.
Did you know that every Hero has the ability to find his or her location in map coordinates? You might find it useful to define a key (such as "L", if you don't use that key for something else already) as your location key. To do this, click "Menu", then "Options". Click "Controls". Scroll down the list to "Other". Click "Get Position". Press "L". Click "Apply Changes".
Now, whenever you press your "L" key, your current location will appear in the Chat window. Try it! The first number is your West-East location (left-right on the map): large or positive numbers are further West (left on map); small or negative numbers are further East (right on map). The second number is your altitude or elevation: small or negative numbers are lower; large or positive numbers are higher. The third number is your South-North location (bottom-top on the map): large or positive numbers are further South (bottom of map); small or negative numbers are further North (top of map). Try moving around and pressing L to see how the numbers change. Jump straight up, and hit L at the top of your jump. How high can you leap?

Starting the Tour
Now that we have our maps folded and location straight, let's begin the tour. We'll start near Ms. Liberty (128, 19, -216), directly under the can't-miss-it statue of Atlas.

1. Ms. Liberty (128, 19, -216)
Ms. Liberty is a superhero trainer (her map symbol is a green person). She is tall, blonde, with captivating eyes, and - well, let's just say that I have a little crush on Ms. L. She deserves to be up on that pedestal. When you level up, you can visit her to train to your new level, and get a new power or new slots. All you have to do is stand close to her and click on her, and that will start a conversation with her. She's always there, day or night, ready to boost your morale with a vote of confidence, and to remind you about how many experience points you need until your next level. Such selfless dedication is admirable.
Since many Heroes visit Ms. Liberty, this is a good place to mix and mingle with other Heroes. Admire their costumes. Learn about their origins and their powers. Strike up conversations. Organize teams. Trade inspirations, enhancements, and influence. Maybe even join in an impromptu costume contest or dance party, which are very common under the statue of Atlas. And that brings us to our next stop.

2. Badge: Top Dog (133, 314, -340)
With your trained Hero senses, you may have detected a statue above and in back of Ms. Liberty. Big chap. Holding the world on his back. Yes, that's the one. Visible from all over Atlas Park, this statue is a memorial to Atlas, the Hero who gave his life defending Paragon City during World War II, and for whom Atlas Park is named.
Notice the middle number in the location for this badge: you read it right, that's 314 yards above the ground. To earn this badge, you must reach the very top of the globe that Atlas is supporting. Clearly, you can only get there on your own if you have one of the special travel powers, like Hover, Fly, or Teleport. Luckily, the statue of Atlas is such a popular meeting place, that it's usually possible to find a helpful Hero with the right powers to give you a lift. Be courteous about asking: say "Please" and "Thank you". And, when you do get to the top, don't forget to make the traditional remark, "I can see my house from here!"

3. Badge: Freedom (129, 122, -641)
While your newfound Hero friend is helping you to the top of the statue of Atlas, you might want to ask about their assistance getting to the flag on top of the Paragon City Hall. You can do the trip yourself, if you have Hover, Fly, Teleport, Super Jump, or a very strong grip for climbing columns. This badge is actually in honor of Statesman, the Hero whose cape was made into this very flag.

4. Information Kiosk (223, 17, -229)
Back on solid ground again, you can visit this information kiosk just west of Ms. Liberty. Such kiosks are scattered all over Paragon City. If you click on one, it displays information about the top Heroes in the area, and who is putting the most hurt on which Villains. Maybe you'll see your own name in lights: that's worth a screen shot.

5. Superpowered Field Trainers (47, 16, -268) and (210, 16, -271)
Just to the west and east of Ms. Liberty are two Superpowered Field Trainers. You can sell your unneeded enhancements here for influence. You can also buy new enhancements for your powers. They are always here, feet glued to the pavement. Just stand close to one of them and click on them, and that will start a conversation.

6. Sunstorm (-15, 18, -349)
That striking figure with the handsome costume is Sunstorm. He is a contact for Peacebringer archetypes. Unlike other contacts, who dress in ordinary street clothes, Sunstorm goes the extra mile with his attire.

7. Paragon City Hall (128, 44, -601)
As you might expect, the Paragon City Hall building contains many useful and interesting features, including:
a. A very shiny floor that says, "Paragon City - Birthplace of Tomorrow."
b. To the left, there is a nice statue of Cassiopeia, a Hero who saved the world from a rogue comet. At our next stop, you can earn a badge for viewing this statue. To the right is a statue of Prometheus, very similar to the one in Prometheus Park. Other statues of well-known Heroes adorn the room.
c. Badge: Patriot (161, -768, -672). Earning this badge is quite simple: just stroll up next to the Super Group registration desk. The Patriot and Freedom badges make a nice pair.
d. The Super Group Registration desk (145, -768, -685) is where Heroes (level 10 or above) can register a new Super Group.
e. The City Representative (120, -768, -626) helps Heroes (level 20 or above) with costume changes. She is always here, ready to do a fashion makeover.
f. Down the stairs are contacts for each of the five origins, including Rick Davies (Technology) (-80, -784, -929), Susan Davies (Natural) (63 -784 -826), Azuria (Magic) (-80, -784, -827), Antonio Nash (Mutant) (4, -784, -1001), and Jonathan St. John Smythe (Science) (71, -784, -916). In case you're wondering, Susan and Rick are brother and sister. (On the map, contact symbols are purple people figures.)
g. Two more Superpowered Field Trainers (-45, -784, -717) and (29, -784, -717). As with the ones outside the building, these Superpowered Field Trainers are always available to buy unneeded enhancements and sell new ones. I think these two are fraternal twins, but it's hard to be sure. They don't talk a lot.
When you're done inside the Paragon City Hall building, leave the same way that you came in and head around to the back.

8. Hero Corps Field Analyst (-48, 16, -886)
Slightly northeast of Paragon City Hall is a Hero Corps Field Analyst, who can help you change your reputation. Reputations can be Heroic (the default), Tenacious, Rugged, Unyielding, or Invincible. It's important to understand that this isn't simply a label: your reputation directly affects the difficulty of the missions you are offered. For example, Heroic reputations get standard difficulty missions. The difficulty increases up to Invincible, which means more powerful villains, and more of them. If you find yourself dozing off during missions, or leaving them in an ambulance, try changing your reputation.

9. Badge: Hero Corps Insider (284, 16, -884)
Okay, here is probably the easiest badge you'll ever earn. Directly east of the Hero Corps Field Analyst stands Henry Peter Wong, a contact for Science origin Heroes. All you have to do is stand next to him, and you earn the badge. Wear it proudly.

10. Plaque: Axis Attack 1 (511, 0, -1151)
Northwest of Henry Peter Wong is the 1st plaque about the Axis Attack. It's on a pedestal beside a corner of Atlas Plaza. If you view all 5 of the Axis Attack plaques, you'll earn the Pupil badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Axis Attack plaques are in Galaxy City, Kings Row, and Perez Park.

11. Monorail: Yellow Line Station (552, 74, -1416)
From the plaque, head west and hop over the wall to the main road, then turn north. Up the hill is the Monorail station for Atlas Park (a blue T symbol on your map). Also known as the train or tram, the Yellow Line can take you to Galaxy City, Kings Row, Steel Canyon, or Skyway City.

12. Hospital: Chiron Medical Center (-50, 5, -1664)
From the Monorail station, go north to the main road (there's an overpass above the street below) then head east, into the Promenade neighborhood. You'll see the Chiron Medical Center (a green cross symbol on your map) at the bottom of the hill. You usually don't have to find your way here, as you'll arrive automatically if you decide to when you're defeated and unconscious. We just thought you'd like to visit here under your own power for once.

13. Badge: Silent Sentinel (-608, 70, -1890)
Continue east and slightly north. There is a tall green building with circles decorating its base. This is where the Hero, Gargoyle, would perch to monitor the city during the 1950s. The badge commemorating him is on a building ledge above the front door, about the same height as the Monorail track. You will need Hover, Fly, Super Jump, or Teleport to reach it. Or, ask a friendly Hero with the right travel powers to help you get there. You might be able to get there by jumping onto the Monorail tracks, then onto the building, but there is that pesky train to dodge.

14. Badge: Undefeated (633, 85, -2324)
Northwest of here, near the entrance to Steel Canyon, is a billboard on top of a building. The badge here commemorates Sirocco, a Hero who stood against the Rikti invaders and fell in battle at this place. Use the fire escape in back to get to the roof. The badge is on the roof, in front of the billboard. Nearby is an entrance to Steel Canyon.

15. Plaque: Psychic Feedback Loop 1 (2547, 0, -1182)
Head southwest, into the Argosy Industrial Park. You can do this on main streets by mainly heading west, and following the road south when it curves. The 1st Psychic Feedback Loop plaque is located here, on a pedestal beside the road, near a bus stop. If you view all 6 of the Psychic Feedback Loop plaques, you'll earn the Intellectual badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Psychic Feedback Loop plaques are in Galaxy City, Kings Row, and Perez Park. To the northwest is an entrance to Perez Park.

16. Plaque: Digger 1 (1155, 43, -776)
Almost due east from the previous plaque is the bridge over the pond in Prometheus Park. You may have to scale a wall or two in between. At about the middle of the bridge is a pedestal with the 1st Digger plaque. If you view all 5 of the Digger plaques, you'll earn the Digger badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Digger plaques are, appropriately, in The Hollows.

17. Prometheus Park (968, -27, -757)
Prometheus Park features a lake, green grass, trees, and a large statue of the Hero, Prometheus. It's a nice place to hang out when you're off-duty. You can jump right off the bridge, if you want a swim, but it's a little tedious getting back on the bridge again.

18. Plaque: Citizen Crime Act 2 (1330, 4, 418)
Keep going south on the bridge, into the Downside neighborhood. At the bottom of the hill, across the road and just to the right, you will find the 2nd plaque about the Citizen Crime Act. This plaque is mounted on a pedestal on a grassy knoll. If you view all 5 of the Citizen Crime Act plaques, you'll earn the Student badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Citizen Crime Act plaques are in Galaxy City and Perez Park.

19. Plaque: Might For Right Act 1 (631, 8, 961)
Head southeast from the previous plaque, but still in the Downside neighborhood. To the east of the entrance to Skyway City you'll find a large statue of the female Hero, Nimbus. The 1st plaque about the Might For Right Act is mounted on the back of the base of the statue. If you view all 4 of the Might For Right Act plaques, you'll earn the Expert badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Might For Right Act plaques are in Galaxy City and Perez Park. Nearby is an entrance to Skyway City.

20. Plaque: Citizen Crime Act 1 (-1150, -8, -172)
Aim northeast from the last plaque and you'll wind up in the Hyperion Way neighborhood. Inside a pleasant little park is the 1st plaque about the Citizen Crime Act, mounted on a wall by the gate. If you view all 5 of the Citizen Crime Act plaques, you'll earn the Student badge (http://www.rjcyberware.com/CoH/BadgesAll.phtml). The rest of the Citizen Crime Act plaques are in Galaxy City and Perez Park. Northeast of here is an entrance to The Hollows.

End of the Tour
This concludes our tour of Atlas Park. We hope that you have enjoyed your time exploring this area. We're not really leaving you in the middle of nowhere. To the west, you can see the statue of Atlas. From here, you can go northwest to the Monorail to visit other parts of Paragon City, or use the entrance to Perez Park on the western wall, the entrance to Skyway City on the southern wall, the entrance to Steel Canyon on the northern wall, or the entrance to The Hollows on the eastern wall.

At first when thinking this, I simply thought to myself "wtf?" but as I read on, this is exactly something I have been (semi) searching for. Very nice addition.

Edit- Thanks for this and the rest of the "tour" guides. If they aren't C+P, which they very likely could be, I would definitely suggest quite a bit of points or quite possibly a premium :O
