is there pvp in coh? also if there is... how does the system work compared with L2

No ... they want to put pvp in when they drop the expansion CoV but untill then have fun carebearing it up! CaReBeAr StaRe o.O

City of Villians is so cool!
I have some questions:
1. can you fight heroes?
2. Do you have to buy the expansion to play with CoH?
3. Can i switch my Character?
4. Do I have to make a new account?
5.(important!) Can I make a wicked awsome villian Lair?!?!?!?
by the way my CoH name is Luminescence!

I'll try to answer these questions as best I can.

1. Yes, you will be able to fight heroes and other villians as well.

2. I assume by this you mean can you interact with villians if you don't buy the expansion. I can only assume this, but yes. I know CoV takes place in Paragon City, therefore I assume you will be able to. However, you won't be able to create a villian, obviously.

3. I'm not sure about this one, it says nothing in the advertisement of CoV whether or not this is possible. I would guess no, but I have no special inside info.

4. Judging by other MMORPG's, you would use the same account.

5. Yes, one of the main selling points of the CoV expansion is that SuperGroups can create headquarters and Villians can create lairs, not only lairs but HIDDEN lairs.

What you do is take flight and teleport friend. If I remember right you should be @ lvl 21 to do this. Fly way up high in the sky. Hover as not to use endurance. Do a /who (been playing daoc can't remember the command). Find players under lvl 7. Invite them to join your party, tp them up where you are hovering and they fall. If they were running they fall with fwd momentum. If they have the prestige ability of pulsing armor they get a comet like effect upon falling. We called them n00b comets. When they hit they go to 1hp. To pk mover over a mob group. Fall, splat, aggro, die, tp corpse....possibilities are endless. I was Flashbang on Pinnacle my friends and I were really putting it to people for a while. I believe that COH might have fixed this. I quit shortly after. Let me know if this works. I have another trick I could suggest if this one does not work,

they now have a "user prompt" on teleports.. so if they dont want you to teleport them, you cant.

lol@usr11111,heheheheh..thats is sooooooooo much fun,if they dont think to put prompt teleport on,made the game more fun for me for a while there..until i got to peregrine island anyway...the maltas are fun to kill,hehe
