Banning today November 8th 2004 for radar users!! : DAOC Discussion

From the Camelot Herald:

"We suspended about 250 first time offenders, and banned about fifty radar users. The bannings represent people who didn't catch a clue the first time.


Please note - suspended means they'll be back in a week. Banned means their account is closed and deleted.

I had 2 accounts with 12 Level 50's 8 LGM crafters on 2 servers/realms terminated today b/c of a radar check they did. Just to let ya you know no matter how hard to try not to look like you are using radar they can still catch you. I have not crafted in over 6 months so i know it is not from running a macro crafter. Also I have not done RVR in about a week, all I did today was run around TOA looking for artifacts.

Well, I don't care much about Mythic anymore. There game is fun to a point then it is very boring. It went downhill after TOA imo, but leading up to TOA is was so freaking boring. Nothing to do but RVR in the most bland retarded areas ever. Waiting 5 mins to port was retarded.

Yeah I am gonna hold out for WOW.

Be careful. I still login with both of my accounts with XU just to check things out. And I have been doing alot of it the past 3 weeks, so I think the anti-detction code is working, but how you play is a different story. Word of advice, play smart!

I don't craft anymore with a macro program.
I don't "B-line" anything.
I could go on and on. Been using XU a long time and love it.
I have read all the horror stories about it and was always safe.
I could see them banning me a while ago but not in the mast 6 months or so.
Yeah the weeks i busted out 100K rp's a week on a stealther or a minstrel chasing down people.
In the past 6 months or so i have been laying low and just using the radar program in PVE.
None the less 6 accounts that I know of so far only used the radar program this morning and all are banned now.
Very interesting since the Herald said only 50 were banned for using radar and 6 i know of used radar this morning.
Don't they have to scan my computer to see XU?
My third account is still active and I used radar on it last week but not today.

If they are detecting somehow, I send admin some more code that should shut the door once and for all on detecting XU.

to unsubscribe, you login to paypal and click cancel on the subscription.

I got suspended for 7 days and I have only had the account open a few weeks. Sorry wyvern but mythic is shutting down XU.

Na, my two accounts are still up, so their detection stuff is not flawless. I have sent admin some improved anti-detection routines that will hide the plugin processes as wellas the xu main files.

ehh. No Biggy. DAoC lost my interest a long time ago. Nothing better has came along for me to play yet. WOW beta has been fun though. million of rp's means nothing only to the computer geeks that love DAoC and get off by looking up stats.
