DAoC warnings in europe? : DAOC Discussion

Hi, our Fr. Info say something about a new
cheating tool and they catch all who use it.

What tool is it ? Does anybody know ?

Short tanslation :
We found a new cheating tool but we can detect it. Many players were banned forever this week.

Trotz all der Warnungen, die hier immer wieder seit Start des Spieles geschrieben wurden, gab es gerade in den letzten Wochen eine grosse Anzahl Spieler, die ein neues Cheatprogramm nutzen oder ausprobieren wollten. Das Resultat ließ nicht lange auf sich warten, die meisten mußten diese Woche feststellen, dass ihr Account permanent von DAoC gesperrt wurde. Wir greifen in dieser Beziehung hart durch und geben nicht nach. Cheaten in einem Onlinespiel ist nicht akzeptabel. Lasst es bleiben, wir haben die Mittel alle Cheater aufzuspüren.

Can a Client detect if it´s hooked ?

I'm not sure what tool they are referring to, but our policy is that we will continue to modify XU if it becomes detectable by adding more stealth functions. Because XU is a passive tool that does not effect memory or the packet stream you should be reasonably safe.

Doesn't sound like it's this one, since it's been out for more than a year now.
