Giving up : DAOC Discussion

XUnleashed has been unusable for DAOC since I registered.

I sent a post to the Admin asking about a refund. No response.

Now that Wyvern has virtually quit playing DAOC, he has told us there will be no future enhancements in the best tool available.

If you are thinking about premium membership - don't.

If you already paid your money for a product that doesn't work, the Admin doesn't care.

Sorry.

I will continue to update the daoc radar for patches (after RC 14), but I wont spend much time adding other featuers to it.

For a refund, see the Knowledge Base and search for Refund. Gives ya all the info ya need to get a refund.

Ok Wyv youve been saying your gonna release your own patch if they dont in a few days if you look back its almost been two weeks wheres the patch? Eager minds would like to know!

I have started it, but it is not as easy as I first thought. I guess that is why admin has been taking so long. I'm working with admin instead on getting his finished. I'm going through his code to see if I can finish it.

When I logged in this morning I had a response to my private post to the Admin.

Predictable pattern.

I post the Admin and get nothing. I get frustrated and post to the forum and suddenly get an answer. The same thing happened with my initial registration.

More predictable pattern. The response was worthless.

It said they plan to have RC14 out before the end of January, and that I can search the knowledge base about a refund. Who's going to believe a date that they won't publish in public? This amounts to telling me that I'm out my subscription because I gave XUnleashed several weeks of grace period instead of cancelling in the first 15 days.

Nothing about making things right with people who have paid for weeks of nothing.

im a bit confused, there are other radar programs out there working more than fine...time to list them off so people can convert i guess, lol

was looking forward to using XU but right when i decided to do it, ban ban ban, xu doesnt work...hoping this next patch..if it ever comes, is gold
