Have there been any incidence of people getting caught with this "radarprogram" recently?

and on top of it all, does it work in US version of DAoC?

Play with fire and you risk being burned. There is never a guarantee a cheater will not be caught. The smarter ones last longer, while the more ignorant fools are weeded quickly from the rest.

Being in the DAoC Forum, I shall assume this is meant at the DAoC radar/map plugin. There is no coding to search your computer for files or third party programs within their game. Occasionally CSRs snake their characters through the terrain (usually below the surface) 'fishing' for radar abusers. Other times they may watch your actions and movements upon their server for you to screw up.

The best information to offer is, if it's not worth getting caught doing, don't do it. But if you're looking for advice? Well, try not to get on their 'watch list' by doing stupid things. Some examples are passing out the program to your whole team and b-lining at every incoming opponent outside of clip plane. Chasing down soloers across the frontier. Blatently heading toward fights that assure you greater numbers in every instance. I would suggest to use it just to avoid zergs, 'stumble' into fair fights, approach opponents in clip plane from better angles, and call incoming to your team so that they have time to prepare.

A warning: running such plugins from your XU may decrease the experience of your gaming. Think it over before you install something like that, you may ruin the fun that you have without it.

 Radar is usually caught on a monthly basis and subject by Mythic employees to several possible actions. Warning, suspension, banning, account termination, permanent/ip banning are the usual treatments.
 Your DAoC record is on their servers, listing all offenses associated to your account(s). More severe actions are placed upon you the more you have. Radar, Exploitation, and Harassment are the most severe of the offenses.
 Players are caught constantly. Most often from being ignorant in how to use programs to their advantage without abusing them entirely. Addictive as it may be, chasing down someone across 10 zones because they killed you once, may not be the best course of action of revenge.
:!: It works for US servers.
