Q) A few weeks ago, you had a poll upon logging in. It was about "A la carte" services. Was wondering what the results of that were and when we might see those opportunities. I am especially hoping to have the opportunity to move characters from one server to another. If you can let me or everyone know on a "Grab Bag" that would really rock.

A) The poll results favored moving forward with this. How soon we can get them in place though will entirely depend on resources available.

Q) Should we receive a confirmation email when signing up for the DAoC Newsletter?

A) Yes, you should. However, no further action is required in that email. You don’t have to click a link in it to opt in or anything. The email probably got eaten by your spam filter, just to be safe; I would add EAGAMES@fun.ea.com to your safe email list. Q) Awhile back there was a poll regarding Realm Timers; since then though we have not heard anything further. Can you please advise us as to the status of the Realm Timer issue?

A) The majority of players answered that they would not like for us to put in a login timer.

Q) In a past Grab Bag you said that the person who got the highest crafting skill last became number one on the top crafters list. I thought the list was ranked by the crafting skill then ties were broken by /played time?

A) Correct you are. After double checking, the top crafter lists are indeed ranked by skill and then by /played time.

Q) I’ve heard that baseline DD spells are resisted more than spec line DD spells. Is that true and what are the correct numbers for miss rates?

A) No, there are only a few things that determine the resist chance of a spell. Spell level, caster level, target level, mastery of focus being a few of them. Baseline and spec line DD spells of the same level are resisted at exactly the same rate.

Q) Are you aware that dark SMs only have a red body debuff when speccing 50 dark? What happened to the spirit and energy debuffs?

A) All internal testing shows the spells to be present. If you’re still having problems, you should appeal in game and have a CSR investigate your character.

Q) Under the rogue champion line, why are suppress wounds and faded quickness on the same timer?

A) That combination of abilities was not possible until we increased the champion level cap from 5 to 10 with Labyrinth. Because of that, players can get combinations that we never wanted or intended. Therefore, we put shared timers in place to prevent them from achieving certain combinations with champion abilities to preserve the nature of the CL system. The combo may not seem like a very powerful one, but it goes against the design of CLs. That design was to be as low impact as possible on the RVR game, while still adding a bit of flavor.

Q) I was crafting some new gear for my scout and was worried about using the gem for + archery for a couple reasons. First the spellcraft calculator still has it named +longbow, second, when you delve the gem after you make it, it says only "magical bonus 5" since in my case I was making +5 archery. I did imbue it on my MP studded boots and thankfully it delves as +archery but I was nervous about wasting my newly crafted pair of MP boots. Any change for an update to delve on that gem and an update on the SC calculator on the herald?

A) Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We’ll get the delve information changed in game as soon as possible. The SC calculator on the Herald, and the rest of the crafting information there will be updated once all of the crafting changes have been made.
