Loot, some argue, is the underlying force that drives players to specific zones. That could, perhaps explain why Shrouded Isles’ beautiful dungeons are empty, original areas are a wasteland and Darkness Falls is just a fond memory to many. Most of the new players I know have never been to (or heard of) places like Raumarik, Vanern Swamp or even the so-called Epic dungeons and zones of the past. Why is this? Outside of getting a little XP, the loot in 90% of the game is so outdated, that you wouldn’t even use the gear on your level /20 thid toon, much less your 50 mains.
This week’s Camelot Vault question asks:
Short of redoing the loot tables for the entire game, what are some incentives, or drops they could put in game-wide that would inspire you to revisit some of the older zones and dungeons?
Please stay on topic... Thanks for keeping the thread clean!
