Hi !
I would like to know how to choose manually a /random number.
Someone showed me in game that he can /random 1000 and choose the number he wants.
How could I do that ?
Someone does know ?
Thx.

I dont think anyone was sure on this one. I believe he just did an emote command. Like /emote (lots of spaces here) Dice roll 768. And it outputs to look like he rolled it.

Yes. I believed that too.
I heard many times that /random are choosen on distant servers, with security, and that it's not hackable.
But i saw that : there's a difference between a /random and an /em.
For example, if you write /em something, the chat will show <nickname something>. Notice the < > in the beginning and in the end. That's not showed like that with a /random. There's just Nickname picks a random number, etc..., without those < >.
If, like i believe, a /random hack is not possible, i would like to know the way to make an emote without those < >. Is that hackable ? with a .bat file, a game.dll edit, or something ? I'm not good enough to find that by myself.
Xcuz me for my maybe bad english, that's not my native lang.
Thx for taking time to answer.

Nothing at all.
He asked : "How much do you want i do ?". I asked him for a 49, he /randomed 1000 twenty sec later, and did a 49.
Then again with 994, and 501. Or something like that. I choosed what i wanted, and he did.
I heard him (on TS or vent, don't know) push its keystrokes. That sounded like a real /random i'm used to hear when i do. That's why i wondered if there would be a .bat file/modified game.dll/third program that would modify the /random command, which would command to the game to directly show a returned random of your choice instead of ask a random to server. If you followed what i want to say ^^
He did no emote before, just a random (or a /em without < > maybe, that would be the same).
I wonder two things : if there's no way to ask directly to the server to show an emote /em without < >. And if there's no way to modify the /random command in the game, in order to immediatly show that you picked up the number of your choice instead of asking server to do the random. I guess that must be possible : block the /random command in game.dll (it seems), in order to prevent asking a real /random to server, but instead, it would aotomatically show a returned random of your choice, everyone would see it like a real /random.
But as i'm not that good in programming, i have to ask to someone to do it...

Did he show you in game or at his computer? Do you have a screen shot? I find it very hard to believe he managed to do anything with /random as i believe that is done server side.

He showed that us in game. I don't have a screen shot.
But for sure, it's not a 2 lines emote, and what he did is 100% like he would choose his random.
I believe too that it's done server side, that's why i asked if it's possible to modify game.dll and create a bat file and a third program, to even don't send the /random command to server, and show people a choosen random-like instead.

I still believe its all server side. have him do it again and provide a screen shot.
