Beta testers SHOULD NOT download or install this if they have a current beta installation or they won't be able to access the beta. Their beta client will get upgraded via patch on launch day.

For everyone else (other than the beta testers) that plans to buy the game you should download the Torrent here:

http://www.eu1.darkfallonline.com/dl/Da ... ll.torrent

For those who don't know what to do with a torrent file here are some instructions:

Step1: Get a BitTorrent client. For example μTorrent http://www.bittorrent.com/
Step2: After installing the BitTorrent client, click the torrent link I post below to download the torrent file.
Step3: Double-click on the torrent file to open it in your BitTorrent client program.

The size of the download is around 9GB.

As for the issue we're having with the account management connectivity, it's still pending but should be fixed soon. We'll keep you posted on any developments, although we won't turn pre-orders on tonight, seeing that it's getting late in Europe.

Beta Testers Guide:

if you have beta client you just need to download 3 files:

    Darkfall.exe
    dfdata.sfai
    fdfdata_0017.sfad

And add tpb tracker if your doing the full thing, and it'll go faster (it works for me)

Guide on just downloading 3 files:

Step 1:

Download Azureus:
(NOTE: This guide is for Azureus, although using your brain it will be the similar settings in almost every torrent client)

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=592260

Once downloaded open the torrent file in azureus and right click on it and then left click on "Show details.

Step 2:

Click files and have a look whats there

Step 3:

Right click on the file you want to download then go down to "Set priority" and select if you want to download it or not.

You can use CTRL+Click to highlight multiple files and save time.

------

Hope that helps :)

Question: How do i make the torrent speed go faster?

Answer:

There is a setting included by Microsoft in every operating system since XP SP3 (including Vista and 7), this limits the number of simultaneous incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts, or half-open connections per second to some number, in XP it's 10, in Vista depends on your package. This was an attempt to reduce the viruses and their spreading, and has no effect on you... until you start to use torrents and other P2P system based on similar mechanics.

How? The torrent client tries to establish many connections with other peers (that are connected to the tracker) within a fractions of seconds. When the limit is reached, new connections will be queued, until some of the current connections are established. (Got me so far?)

Ok, where is the red button to push? http://half-open.com/download_en.htm
Download this software. It's tested to be virus and maleware free.

elysium, Just curious why you said to download those 3 files. Since Tasos said not to download any at all.

EDIT- for those who have beta client installed and working.
