They do drop Ingots, but not all the time, atleast not for me.
Nay for me, this does not go faster or is any easier then mining.

It goes ALOT faster for everyone in my clan and everyone ive told. Plus there is a bank right next to it

Imo it seems way faster to just go mine 15 ore, including the running, mining and processing time. Nice that you share where mobs are and what they might drop, but to hunt those mobs just for their ingots does seem like a big timewaste. Spend 20 mins to mine a node empty and you'll probably have 40ish ore (16 ingots) 10ish sulphur and maybe a gemstone or two.

You could get about 20 ingots every 10 minutes on average, you could even get more from these. The bank is right next to them too(30 seconds away) so you can just bank them straight away.

Topic may be a little misleading but this is a great way to farm ignots while leveling melee/spell abilities!
/yay - thankyou for this, now i wont just be a gimped crafter I can actually skill up while I gather mats
