reading keyboard inputs : Developer's Corner

Basically I want my script to do whatever when the user (or a game macro) types "/clock"

I built a clock program for FFXI and it would be cool to use it as a clock complement, so that it gives you more info than the current clock.

I found code to actually grab the keyboard inputs, but until I digest the code I don't see how it could simply read the inputs and let them be.
