Once again the Xunleashed server is down. This is starting to aggrivate me. Why does the application not function when the server is down? Today for example; i'm running my fishing script, check in on my fisher and see the message about XUnleashed server down... reconnect. I try to stop my script? can i? nope.. server down. If i did get it stopped, which i can't, there is no way to re-start it. Why does the application need tied to XUleashed server? I can undrstand for updates and vaildation, but beyond that, WHY? Once the application is registered, WHY? Why does it not function at all when XUnleashed server is down?
In a super pissy mood,

I've wondered this myself before. After the initial start (Play being pressed) and it validating your registration I see no reason for it to continue to communicate with the XU server.
Now the programmers probably have a good reason for it to do this I'm sure, but I'm just curious as to what they are myself. From a programming standpoint it seems like wasted processing and bandwidth usage to me. I dont see any reason to continue to peridically check registration so it must be doing something else. And from a consumer aspect, some people could misconceive this to be XU is spying on you and your account info while in games (Now I dont think this to be true, I'm just being open minded at what other people could be thinking.)

Why...why...why...why...why...why... QQ
QQ more over spilled milk, while using a hack considered a cheat in-game. XU team are doing their best at supporting all the various games, beta the new version and making enhancements. If it pisses you off so much, don't HACK. I am in a pissy mood, as well. So suck it up.

VspinnerV your post is pointless as it does nothing to help answer valid questions. Maybe you don't use the product like I do. When the server goes down while running a script, there is no way to control it; can't stop it, can't change scripts, can't do anything. To me, thats very bad. "Hi Mr. GM, sorry i can't reply atm, my scirpt is running and I can't stop it. Sorry.^^"
Thanks for the post Admin. What part are you working on in Beta?

XU constantly reconnects to the host to ensure you are not using the same registration key on another machine at the same time. That's why the server continuously polls the server.
I really don't mind that, BUT.... there only seems to be a single server (with no backup) AND if XU loses a single 'heartbeat', it seems to throw a tantrum and drop connection.
It should just wait for up to 5 minutes or so and then graciuosly stop everything its doing and inform you it can't connect with it silently attempting to reconnect every minute or so.
If it reconnects, it opens everything right back up where it left off. No harm no foul.

The beta is much more lax in that area.

Actually i've been encountering something similar to that as well... not to mention it prompts sometimes for my registration password even though i've already verified it. But during gameplay it goes down... it comes up... down up down up... it's getting annoying and while i understand this is beta. Is the original non-beta still usable or is that not recommended?
