Hey Guys,

Trying to decide where to put my limited funds - into just tault, just XU, or heaven forbid, both.

Not sure how the Tault macro's are done, and XU not much the wiser.

I like the idea of XU, as it could be useful with a lot of games. has anyone used it with Eve? Is it intelligent enough to let you do whatever you want, or is it just another keyboard/mouse movement repeater, like Macro toolworks?

Those of you using Tault stuff, is XU a replacement, does it complement, or is it worse than the stuff that's here already (I assume, since I haven't joined up yet).

Any info to help me decide would be appreciated.

Hi,

I have recently started using XU myself and found that it is really good for the price as long as you are looking to do something simple like mining the same roid belt in safe space, however when it gets to the more complicated stuff it really becomes difficult.

I believe that the features are there to allow you to do the more complex things, like tell your ship to warp out if NPC's appeard for example, but there is just no documentation for the program what so ever and this is the real let down. Also accoring to the forums all efforts that were being made to create a plug-in for eve have been dropped to make way for other newer games so i wouldnt expect any help there etheir.

In summary it is nice and easy to do simple automation for making a bit of easy money, but dont expect to much at the moment. Documenation may be on the way but until then your on your own and with there being some more advanced Macros already created for the other Macro programs out there, on the forums on this website, you might do well to look into them instead.

Hope this is of help to you.

Another note, i have recently started using Macro Tools on EVE and it is fantasic. Although you must run the game in windowed mode, the amount of options that are available seriously makes up for it.

I would recommend this over XU anyday.

Yes Macro we create macros for. Keep in mind however XU and Tault are merging as one company in the next upcomming weeks.
