Just curious as to your preferences for cruiser/battleship choices and configurations. Have any of you noticed "unstoppable" ships.
Also, what are your opinions on the best cruiser and battleship.

I'd like to know what skills work best, there's no REAL way you can have all your skills max out.... There are the obvoius ones but it's the ones you tend to forget about that could make all the difference....

Every overpowered ship has a counter.
Rock, Paper, or Scissors.
If you want to be able to dominate with one ship, play a different game.

Nope - dreadnaughts are very vulnerable to packs of cruisers or battleships/
1 Dreadnaught - 3 bil
5x Battleships - 400 mil
Dreadnaught dies.

Godofants is right.
But as general guide, you have base skills: all learning skills to 4, all defence skills to 4, all ship upgrades to 4 and then whatever area your specializing in to make money, such as mining, trade, research, PvP or agent running.
3 months is now gone and you should have a good bit of isk, now is time to really decide what your focus in game will be and train skills related to that with no deviation. All those that are jumping on the "newest" skills have a lot more time in the game than most, ignore the bragging and concentrate on YOUR character.
A all rounder is the toughest to train since your constantly reevaluating your priorities. I advise against a all rounder. My main is a all rounder and I do nothing good other than trade and that is more determined by market conditions rather tnan skill. He is over a year old now...and just getting weapons to 5. I do have 98% of all skills trained to at least L1 though...
If I had left trade skills at 3 I would be 6 months ahead on fighter skills.....
My other account though, specialized.....in smuggling/black market. He can run illegal goods anywhere, extremely fast any number of jumps and NOT get caught...by customs or player pirates. He has black market to 5, trade to 5, cloak to 4 and ship speed skills to 5. Once those "primary" skills were trained he then went on to more mundane skills such as weapons and research and mining. Auto pilot with macro running cloak is very sweet.....
This has also been taked to death on Eve-Online and opinions are many....and the above is mine.
Good luck,
Buck

Tank-A-Scorp
Med - 3 x Large Shield Extender II's
1 x XLarge Shield Booster II
4 x Tech II Hardeners [1 for each type]
Low - 4 x PDU II's
Stick 4 torps in the hi's with maybe a couple of nossies.
Your resists, depending on skills, will be:
55/82/73/64%
Basically, in a fleet engagement the Scorp is the first ship targetted because your opposition think it's EW kitted. This set-up will give you over 18k of shields and surprise the hell out of your opposition. Sure, you won't damage deal much, but that's not what you're there for.
Enjoy it.

Brillance!, Waste your enemies first volley - in a larger battle, this may give you some form of advatage.
You'll last for around 15 seconds (a long time for primary in a fleet)

in gang have someone w +shield% (dous a lot)
have some people use shield drones on that thing
have someone helping w capacitator if needed (but if you have some capacitator skills thats not that nececary)
but still this works better on big combat agent missions than in large scale pvp
the npc pirates blindly keep going for the first agressor (this ship)
the whole group can pick and shoot as long as they keep your shields alive
people should go for your support first
