"When in-game with your main character, launch second game instance ( exe ) and log on your account and enter the game with an alt. Your main char ( with his ship ) will instantly log off / dissapear.
Good thing for avoiding gate camps.
Waiting for premium confirmation ;>"
When you CTRL - Q your char will remain in game for some amount of time and your ship will try to warp in random direction. If you fall into a gate camp and log off with ctrl q you will die as they will caught your ship even when you arent in game. But - when you use the method of logging on another char - your main char will IMMEDIATELY dissapear with his ship and you wont die or lose ship.
Sorry for another topic but I couldnt explain it in the previous one.

While I can confirm this will actually work thru testing the theory, I am unsure a person would be able to apply the method before losing his ship.
The log on window has a timer. If you fail to log on within that time then the link to the log on computer is lost and the client must be restarted.
This prevents a person from queing up the client and hitting it when coming across a camp.
Potentially it could work...probability is extremely low
On a side note.....while testing this out, it appears that the aggression timer is reset as well.

Hmmm, this is one of those strategies that can go either way. On one hand, I agree with bildur1; what brandywyne has proposed does indeed work exactly as he said it does. In short, it does provide an effective means of instantly logging off your character and removing them from the game world, thus out of harm's way. On the other had, the application of such a strategy at a random, spontaneous moment greatly defers it's chance of success.
But then we must look at what we ask to get a prem account. brandywyne has submitted an exploit of sorts which does do exactly what he says it does. It is unique as I am aware; I have not heard of this strategy before. Albeit the execution must be timed to almost a precognitive level, who are we to say this *correct* information may not be useful to another player in a manner we have not yet thought of?
For this reason, I give it my YAY.
