I was wondering if xu can read from a file if so I could just get logging going in eq and go from there. Also xu is crashing this app as well lol. I'm gonna play with the settings a bit if I figure it out I'll post.

if your talking about scripting then it bog standard vbscript so you can use the filesystemobject to look at test files.

ahh cool indeed it dous look like I can make a nice little sript using the logs also it appears that when eq swaps resolutions from the front end (640x480) to the res I run in (1024x768) it crashes I've also tried to go to 800x600 on eq it still crashes and wont go any lower than that

If you cant get in game, uncheck the ip packet sniffer to get eq to load.

The trick for me appears to be loading up xu at the right time it dous indeed have to do with the swapping of resolutions.
Heres what I do to make it work.
1)Start up EQ
2)go through the eq front end all the way up to selecting the server, dont push that button!!
3)Alt-Tab out of EQ frontend and load XU, launch XU
4)Go back to EQ frontend and connect to youre server.
5)Taaadaaaaa

This will be addressed in the next patch for XU. There is a resolution bug that appears to be when dx8 switches to dx9.
