To celebrate the release of EverQuest Secrets of Faydwer,
the EverQuest Team is hosting a contest...
"Dawn of the Clockworks"
Evil gnomish necromancer Meldrath the Malignant and his armies of clockworks spread across, below and even above the Steamfont Mountains. The launch of his great air fortress Mechanotus has torn open the earth, exposing new paths into unexplored regions of the ancient continent of Faydwer.
At this Dawn of the Clockworks, Meldrath has ordered his chief engineers increase productivity and unless more Steamwork clockworks to serve him.
The city of Ak'Anon has put out a call for all engineers, amateur and professional, to help build clockworks for the defense of the city.
From Monday, November 12, 2007, (12:01 am, US Pacific Time) through Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at (11:59 pm, US Pacific Time), the EverQuest Team will be hosting "Dawn of the Clockworks" contest.
Using building blocks, tinker sets, electronic supplies, and/or other gadgets, EverQuest community engineers have this opportunity to create real-life clockworks to assist Meldrath or Ak'Anon. As you create the clockwork, take pictures or video showing the creation process and the final product. The clockwork does not have to actually work but if you submit a video, you should probably explain why it doesn't move!
It is the Dawn of the Clockworks. Can you hear the gears chiming?
