New to EQ? I had played EQ for a few years before I quit a while ago. With all the expansion Packs it was just getting to different from good ol classic eq and kunark. This guide works really well if you have the PoP exp and Luclin makes the 18-30 range about 100 Times easier.
I had played as every race/class combination That was available to me while I played EQ except for Bards and a class that came out before I quit the berzerker.
If this is your first time playing I reccomend Playing what you are looking to be. Unless your really a power gamer and need those 15 stats you can pretty much be what you think is cool. I Highly reccomend a non-evil class though. This guide will be about getting to level 30 with Humans Half Elves Wood Elves High Elves Halflings Gnomes Barbs and Dwarves. If I get premium *Smile* Or people ask nicely I will make a guide for the evil races. And for my Frogs I Never ever liked there newb area so I just left but it is a matter of opinion.

Level 1-5 Human, Half elf.
Ok first off start in Qeynos. Freeport is over rated. Qeynos has better loot and less people to take it. Pass in your note blah blah. NOW SFGers get to NQ and get a bind. Leave SFG and follow the trail south till ya zone. don't stop to fight you might get killed. Now everyone start to Hunt large rats. Just farm them until you get a few Putrid Rat Tails. They are worth 1 platinum each. O yes and by the way loot everything off the rats they very in prices from a few copper ot 2 and a half gold. Very useful. The RED AND BLACK snakes also have rather fat lewt. Also when he is Yellow or black to you try killing a few Running Darkpaws. They will be running down the central Path into the village. They may drop gnoll fangs. Give them to Guard captain (Tillin?) In southern qeynos. He is in the Top arena. Don't Bother with the Newbie Armor quests. If you buckle down and level you can gain around 10 levels in the time it would take you to get a full set. O and BTW Train your skills class accordingly. Mage's I reccomend Put as much as possible without spending money into Meditate, Make sure Melee classes to get all of your kicks and skill up in 1h slashing or peircing. If your having trouble getting to level 5 fast enough kill yourself some klicknick beetles. Be careful for warriors, Noble and the rare spawn of the Queen.

1-5 Barbarians.
So you chose to be one of these big guys. Well Luckily you can slam and you are close to qeynos. Hooray. Well besides the cold climate and annoying terrain Your Halas and Everfrost are 2 zones I really enjoy. *Sigh*. Well first of all head on over to Qeynos. This zone has a map so it should be farely easy to get there from the Halas zone in Everfrost to Black Burrow. When you get in blackburrow your spitting distance from the QH zone. QH also has a map so it should be rather easy to get over there. Than get a bind. Soulbinder if needed. I can't tell you how many times I have zoned back there in the early levels. Annoying!. Well you should pretty much do what the humans do. farm the Rats and snakes pick up there parts and sell um. Be wary some merchants will not sell to dirty barbarians.

Level 1-5 Elf-Wood, High
Turn in note blah blah. Train up. Kill you some bats, drones, and decaying skellies till level 2. Level 2 you can get wolves. When they con okay you can take the Spiderlings aroung kel. Also if your getting into sewing, Swatches are good practice. When you are of sufficient level to kill a few orcs do so. Next parts alot easier if you have plane of knowledge.

Level 1-5 Gnome
Steamfont... I hated this place. But nonetheless kill everything here that cons white or blue. Nothing really worth consentrating on here. Make sure to get your robe, Or tunic. Also POK Reccomended.

Level 1-5 Dwarf
Kill Skunks. and pally bone chips quest. Gob's After a little bit and it is really rather easy. POK Reccomended.

Level 1-5 Halfling
Oye your fun to level. Right by the priest of discord there is a rat spawn. After you kill it it spawn back 2-3 seconds later. At least since last time I played. It can be easily killed over and over again until level 3 or 4. Than go outside and you got a few of the bigger guys to kill, Klick Beetles i reccomend. Again POK Reccomended TO make it easier.

Take POK or Port and get to NQ. PORT will bring you to SFG and you might want to get a bind in NQ or your porter will sometimes bind you if you ask. Now its time to go into the Qeynos Hills. Well there pretty easy with a group but still easly soloed. Kill Wolves and bats mostly. Rabid Wolves, might require a party but there drop is a very nice little peice of fur that is worth quite a bit of xp at that level. Wandering Gnolls of course are good because of the fangs which can be giving to the captian. Now money might not be flowing coming in as quickly now but still just hang tight and buy yourself a backpack from the monks guild. They sell them for 5-6 gold to Qeynos natives. Now Becareful of superbitch, hollywindstalkr. If an animal ever aggroes onto you she will run in with her dual swords and slice you in half rather easily. Don't try to run she has sow and don't try to fight back she is too strong. You should soon be level 7 or 8 from hunting animals and gnolls. Now is a good time to enter BB. I love BB. Get a group partner or solo on top. This is prettyt fast xp for a while. I love staying here till 13 and then going to oasis but this can be boring, so feel free to adventure around a bit, die a bit and get some experience with the game. Now level 13 hits. Head on over to Freeport, By port or POK. Ports bring you to one of the commonlands and POK brings you to the gate. You will have maps for all of these zones so go from WEST FP to EAST COMMONLANDS to NORTHER DESERTS OF RO, to OASIS of mar. Mummies madmen and orcs. careful of specs, and giants. I usually make it to at least level 16 here. Hopefully you have been training in your new skills and new spells and you've been learning a few solo and grouping strategies along the way. Hopefully you haven't become dependednt on soloing because this next part is all about grouping. If you have Luclin GREAT if not you have 2 choices, BUY IT... or buckle up and prepare for some slow leveling.

To get there take POK or get a port to nexus. Than go to shadow haven Than Paludal Caverns.

Yes pc is over crowded alot but all the easier to find a group. Until 20 hunt those extremely scary looking monsters Smile and the mushrooms. Now tada your level 20 Last name, New spells soon or just recently and did I mention a last name. Yes now get into a Bandit group and camp a camp. You can usually share C1 with another group if your having trouble finding one. NOW You can choose to stay till level 25 or level 30 Its up to you. I reccomend somewhere inbetween. Now 2 choices Highkeep group kill goblins and get to 30. Than get in a group and go from Netherbian layer which connects from Nexus, now go to marus seru, Once you hit the beautiful level of 34 I myself love the Dawnshroud Peaks. Those monkey people are just so fun to slaughter.

Now in no time with a good group your level 37 Dread Lands are fun. You can also go to the skyfire zone of The overthere but that is for a different guide.

If i forgot anything please tell me or feel free to add with a reply.

Hope this gets me premium access =)!
