I dont have EQ2..yet, but I just wanted to know a few things about it..

I played FFXI and WoW, ffxi to 75, wow to 60...but I wanted to know how EQ2 was in general? I know its a pretty vague question, but from looking at SS's the game looks kinda ugly...although sometimes SS's are decieving. Other than mere looks, how is the game? From reading posts and such, I assume the max level is 50, how long does this take for someone who has work and school and doesnt play 24/7? (relatively speaking, is it a long game? I assume it is from hearing how anyone who is a max lv EQ2 person is a !@#$%^&*/loser lol)

I dont know if any of you have played ffxi or wow, but can anyone give me some comparisons?

EQ2 really only came to my mind when i realized I wanted to play an MMO again, and FFXI seems like the same old !@#$%^&*, and WoW i just dont find fun anymore. I looked at some other MMOs, but EQ2 looked pretty cool.

Now...from what I heard about the original EQ, if you started late, the economy would crush you, and being new with little money, unless you bought cash, you would have a very hard time getting into it. Is this the case, or just some bs I read somewhere? (And I meant to relate this question to EQ2, not the original EQ which I have no desire to play)

When i watched the videos on the official EQ2 website, I thought it looked fun, but some SS's on diff sites looked weird...so I dont know lol

anyways...i dont want to make this too long, so just post any helpful info on EQ2 if you want..anything will help. Basically im coming into this looking for something new, fun, and not too DRASTICALLY dependent on 24/7 gameplay (I realize any game can be dependent on 24/7 gameplay to be the 'best' but I just dont want to suck/have nothing and have low levels characters; FFXI took me 5-6 months to reach 75, with a few breaks in between, and I enjoyed that a lot)

Anyways.....(ive said anyways too many times..heh) anything is great, thanks!

If you've never played EQ2 I would suggest going to the sony eq2 site and downloading the free trial. You only get to go into a small zone and are capped at leveling to 6. But it will give you a good idea about how the game looks and feels.
