I have been trying to get EQ2 to run with Xunleashed, but every time it just opens the EQ2 window, the cursor changes, and the screen stays black. I didn't originally have the radar, but I installed it and then threw the AMD fix in as well. No dice.
Heres the error message in the LOG:
02/20/06 07:09:22 PM DETECTED: Direct3DDevice9 Reset
02/20/06 07:09:22 PM WARNING: Requested DirectX9 Screen Format may be incompatable with XUnleashed.

Turns out I had fraps and nview running. After disabling both - problem persists. I still cannot get it to work.

This is usually a result of some other program hooking the DirectX. Go into your task manager and close any processes that are not necesary for windows to run. If you are not sure about a process, just google on it and you are likely to get an explenation of what it is. In case you are not sure how to get the task manager, in Windows 2k or XP you can hit ctrl-alt-del or right click on the task bar and select Task Manager.
If this does not resolve your problem you may need to check the services running on the computer (Control pannel - Administrative tools - Services and might need to switch the control pannel to classic view). Stop all non-essential services.
Once it starts working for you, you will need to figure out which process/service is causing the problem and then remove/uninstall it.
Hope that helps.
Oh, and I have noticed a lot of other complaints about this problem. It could be that there is something wrong with the program but that is not as likely as a conflict being caused by another program.

if you are runnign the eq2 crafter dont use script compatibility
if you are on a amd processor be sure to install both the eq2service and the eq2unleashed radar as well as the AMD temp fix plugin.
