Creature Mastery Tombs : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

For those of you wondering what the hell those lore body parts you sometimes get are then you'll be pleased to find out that they are in fact useful so i hope you've hung on to them. What you have to do is collect these Creature Mastery Tombs that give a quest to go find these parts that you can then study. Once you complete the quest you are rumored to get some sort of trophy for your house and the book becomes one you can place in your book shelf.

All books in a instanced zone are on a timer - approx 5 min. So if you go with a group to StormHold you have to stay there a few or come back so all can get it.

Plus - with most (if not all) of these book related quests, once complete you can sell the completed book for 60+ silver to a vendor. There are at least 3 related to Vermin's Snye in Qeynos that are like this. They cost ~3 Silver (or less) and once complete sell for over 60.

The location of these books are all hidden and you must search the lands for them, lucky i know of a few already so here they are:

Orc Mastery Book: Behind one of the shields on the wall in the tower at the crossroads. (Where the sick woman is)
Zombie Mastery Book "Zatirre's First Zombie": There is a Market 1 and Market 2 in Fallen Gate. The book is within the second market which is a bit harder to get to with a lot of nasty mobs between. Go past the first marketplace and keep left all the way past the pond with Murkwurms, up the hill, till you reach the top room. Then go all the way around to the left until you reach a row of tattered bazaar stalls and some ghostly tier dals. There is a large orange jar that highlights. Examine it and check your inventory for the book.
Siren Mastery Book: This can be found in the Enchanted Lands in the first hut from docks, also check in the Halfling huts along the wall for another Mastery Book, I forget which.
Gnoll Mastery Book: Inside the Keep of the Gnollslayer in Antonica (non aggro location).
Skeleton Mastery Book: Is in the library in StormHold - you need a good group to get there. A lot of double triangle oranges (to 20) you have to wade thru to get there. Coming from the entrance to the library, it's directly behind the bookcase facing you, green book on the floor to the right of the only fallen over bookcase on that side.
Goblin Mastery Book "Live Among the Goblins": It is located in Enchanted Lands. When you arrive in EL, go left from the docks following the shore until you reach a wall. Follow the wall, along the wall are something like towers which you can enter, it should be located in a drawer in the first towers you come upon. OR Back wall of the tower at the Commonlands Crossroads, to the left of the axe that gives grum's inspiring axe quest.
Centaur Mastery Book "The History of the Centaur": It is on a bookshelf in one of the houses in the western village in Thundering Steppes, in a bunk-bed next to a female Halfling NPC. The Village is called Thundermist.
Golem Mastery Book "Know Your Golems": Can be obtained in the book room past the tailors in the deep area of Ruins of Varsoon, a blue book on the book shelf in the back of the room.
Elemental Mastery Book "Summoning an Elemental": In the Library of Arcane Knowledge on the table in North Freeport or in Enchanted lands somewhere. The Qeynos one is in South Qeynos, in the mage tower. Take the yellow portal, and look on the floor behind Sage Indis Surion. The book can be clicked at level 25. There's also the Words of Pure Magic quest which I'm told is the draconic language quest, can be found in the same place. That book can be clicked at level 15, possibly even lower.
Ghost Mastery Book "The Haunting": In Nektropos Castle, half-deep in, in a room where the Manservant’s spawn. Check the books on the floor, and then check the bookshelf.
Giant Mastery Book "Know Your Giants": Under a bedroll in the Sabertooth Hideout area of Thundering Steppes in one of the turkey camps in Thundering steppes.
Treant Mastery Book: In a crate in one of the tents on the beach in Nektulos Forest.
Shadowed Men Mastery Book "On the Origins of Shadowed Men":
Drakota Mastery Book:
Nightblood Mastery Book:
Evil Eye Mastery Book "Evil Eye Musings":
Fairy Mastery Book "The Precious Fairy Book":

How do I get to Antoniica from Freeport?

If you can't read it then it basicly goes like this:
Commonlands -> Nektulos Forest -> Thundering Steppes -> Antonica

Now your going to need to be able to run REAL fast or be a real high level to get through so don't be suprized if you die trying.

Treants - Treant Mastery - in a crate in one of the tents on the beach in Nektulos Forest

Orc Society - Orc Mastery - behind a shield in the tower in Commonlands on the left side of the doorway when facing out at crossroads.
REWARD: Reward is an un-stringed standard Bow

Summoning an Elemental - Elemental Mastery - Elemental Mastery book is in the Library of Arcane Knowledge on the table in North or in Enchanted lands somewhere – There might be a counterpart in Qeynos and only tar getable when you hit a certain lvl. At 25, I could select and pick up the book.
