EQ2 - A Gnome Departs... and a Halfing moves in... : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

My stay here on the EQ2Vault has been a blast and since I was handed the baton I have enjoyed every minute of the job... Well if you could call it that. How can someone truely call running a fansite a job. After all you get to play the game and have your fun then tell people all about the game you love and your adventures within. Nah it's not a job it's a passion.

I've enjoyed making the movies; some of which you enjoyed and some of which you thought were insanely stupid but yet might have chuckled when noone was looking. I have loved making the guides we have here; nothing pleased me more then to know I put hours and hours into a guide then see a post that said "Thanks man, great guide it helped me alot!" That meant alot to me and made it all worth it.

EQ2 truely has the best community of all games out there IMHO <--- please note the IMHO before you go claiming otherwise :p

As many of you have known I was in the US Military for several years prior to and during my time as EQ2Vault Manager. My time with the military has come to an end due to some injuries I sustained while in the service. So that meant it was time for a career change. But with a new career came not as much time as I would have liked to work on the things that I so loved doing such as working here on the EQ2Vault. So the time has come for me to move on and persue other intrests in Life. I will remain a member of the forums and will be posting as time permits.

With me stepping down one question remains... who will be taking over? Well I don't have very big feet being a gnome and all so it wasn't hard to find someone to fill my shoes. Debillus the Halfing will be taking over and I hope everyone gives him a great welcome as he really puts his heart and soul into any job he takes on. Hopefully once he gets all spun up on the job he will lead EQ2Vault on to bigger and better things as the game evolves and as the EQ2Vault evolves. I have every bit of faith in him and have no doubt he will do well.

With that I have said my goodbyes and I assure I will NOT be a stranger! For the record: No I have not quit playing EQ2... I have not quit making movies... I have not made this decision based on anything in or relating to the health of the game. I feel the game is going strong and will continue to do so and as it does I will still be there playing it and enjoying it.
