Is there any exploit that can be used by falling thru floor and rezoning back into the city you just fell thru in? I have been breaking this game in some zones accessing unreachable areas and the graphics go crazy, there will be missing walls and things will go invisible cause the game wasnt programmed for people to reach these areas. I a m hoping maybe one could use this to an advantage and maybe get a dupe or something.

um....yeah- you get a free evac....thats bout it- how, logicly, would this give you a dupe? very little in your sentance actualy makes any sense. We were all doing this with the superjump hack- get places you werent supposed to be, eventualy walk through a surface with no collision or somthing and fall for a few seconds before getting ported back to the safe spot. So what? how you got from there to 'dupe' is a mystery to me.

OK. lets back up. We've established the fact that you can't use this for duping =] now, what is it your doing? we might be able to help you find other ways to exploit what you've done.

This used to be possible by simply pressing the swimdown key (end by default) for 30 sec, but sinse has been patched. The client would send updated position packets to the server but the client wouldnt render it. So basically the server would think you are swimming downward until you hit a certain Z value and it made you zone to a "safe location"

well I never used a working dupe so I really dont know how they work. I wasnt trying to make a dupe guy, I was merely asking if I could use this fall thru the floor for anything. When I fall thru floor it does give an evac it seems. I climb alot of things. programmers miss alot of stuff. I always look for glitches in games. I can get on top of buildings that I shouldnt be able to and get inside buildings I shouldnt because collision rules arent there in some places. pretty much just seems to make the game graphics bug real bad. I was asking cause I basically just wanted to know if an exploit ever came of something like this. probably pointless but its fun to me. I like making games tweak, ya never know what the result will be.

They fixed superjump.. or is there another way to do that still?

Heh one of the reasons I asked what he's up to. I guess I was too hard on him re. the dupe question- but we're still interested in how your doing what. From what Im gathering, hes using the terain to climb onto things not really intended to be climbed on?

when I fall thru the floor Im in a building where the collision wasnt right. It isnt easiest thing to get to but Its not that hard. There are obstacles they program into the game to stop people from, scaling walls and buildings, yet they cant get em all cause i know at least 4-5 spots I can scale up and get on top, maybe 2-3 of them will result in major glitching and fall thru floor and its just like in WOW when you warp and fall thru you can see the level above you getting further as you fall down into space then evaC HAPPENS. Same exact thing as in wow. I only played WOW on a private server me and my friend had. I had a gm acct and could warp anywhere, if i put in wrong coord- pooof I fell thru or apppeared right under the floor and fell. the coolest thing though bout the gm acct was changing the size of npcs. kinda funny to see some people staring at a 100 ft npc chicken or whatever. LOL

I know of three spots to get past the "invisible barrier" that the designers use to stop you. In East Freeport, by the entrance to the Thieves Way, if you jump onto the wall, then onto the building, you can climb all the way to the top, or jump across to the other side of the area, where there are 3 spots where you can jump out of the world. Being on these buildings kills the guard's pathfinding(for people from Qeynos).
In Qeynos Harbor, coming from the Mariner's Bell, head towards the Scribe Shop. The building straight across the bridge is our next target. Head inside, up to the top, and out onto the balcony. Jump onto the railing, then onto the roof of the building. If you go too high up onto this roof, you will fall through the building(including the prefiously-tangible floors) and out of the world. You can also jump across to the other building, but going too high on this building will result in the same thing.
The last place I know does not result in falling through the world, but would probably screw up guard pathfinding as well. In the Willow Wood, behind the building next to the bank, there is a ramp up to an area with a bear and some npcs the other way. You can jump from this elevated area to the beams sticking out of the building. then, jumping from beam to beam, going to the right, you will have to jump around a corner that looks like this from above: _|‾. After jumping around this corner, run straight into it, and you will crouch under and through the invisible barrier. From here, you can jump across to the top of the bank. This is where I set my bindpoint
