I'm back :) : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

I got a gamecard to day and I'll be back to work. I'm going to begin a new project to *try* to test some of the skills I've learned in classes. If all works well, you all will have a new present in a month or so....I'll reveal it later.

aye, I just got back in game myself. Havent played in 2 months and came back with the new expansion and was shellshocked by the combat revamp. Good luck.

Were the combat changes a good thing in your oppinion? I'm usually a scout mind you.

Im a lvl 52 ranger and i think the revamp did amazing things for us i really do love all the changes accept maybe the nurf on invis but i can deal with that. Low lvl rangers seem to not have it so good from what ive been reading but lvls 35+ are just loving it. I cant speek for other scout classes though.

I'm a 50 Swashbuckler and I love the changes. And from what I gather on the EQII boards the others are too.

I don't actualy play him, but I logged onto a dormant lvl 50 ranger I have and was sickened to see how many adept3/masters had been replaced with app1s... My Mystic only lost like 4 adept3s, the ranger lost like a dozen. Quite an investment to loose with no compensation.

Thats a huge exageration. Unless your talking about loosing older spells that used to be on different timers that are on the same timer now. I had every major CA atleast to adept 3 on my 50 ranger and I think 2 maybe 3 spells got erased and in my opinion replaced with some thing far more valuable. And if some thing did get errassed it was more likey cause you took the master 2 verison of the spell. The damage output on our major bow CA's just exploded with this update.

Im a lvl 48 Zerker..

I have been nerfed all to hell. ive respeced twice now trying to tweak what i can and have done some gear changes. Before those changes i got owned by two ^^ lvl 34 grey mobs. Resists actually matter now. and its hard to get high resists without other class buffs. My mitigation was just about cut in half and my avoidance is was cut about 3/4 when i logged in the first time my avoidance was 18% after buffiing and some equipment purchases i am up to 44% avoidance amd im sure i could get a little higher if i had money for uber gear.

I can deal with all the combat changes. my class was way too powerful like we /godmode on all the time. What is making me sick to my stomach is the EQ 1 XP table. i was so glad to get away from hell levels, etc.. now it seems im constantly in a hell level.

All in all i think they were some need for changes, however i think they went fuggin overboard. Im not real happy about the changes.

I was playing on my scout type characters today and WOW are they stronger. Big improvements for scouts since March.

Like I said, I never played him, he was actualy my brothers main, I took over his acct when he quit- So I don't know what was missing, all I know is that when I first logged on, the first thing I did was open his spellbook and there was a couple blank spots on every page (I had logged on him before and had been looking at his spell book, trying to figue out what all the differnt CAs did- so I know it was full before)- EVERY spell in his book was adept3 or greater- yes, the ones removed might have been replaced with 'somthing better' (can neither confirm nor deny, as I don't know the class), all I know is how much coin I coughed up in the preceding months to twink him, only to see a them simply deleted. I KNOW some of his stealth and invis related spells were masters, because I bought them myself, at no small expense. So even if the new ones are 'better', they're still app1 (if upgradable at all), not the master1s I paid for.

Wizards kick butt with new combat changes

I've been playing on my Swashbuckler, and WOW is he strong. I've been leveling worlds faster than my friend on his crusader/paladin.
