Is SOE banning people for large plat transfers? : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

I was thinking about getting back into EQ2. I was thinking I might spend 10 or 20 bucks to get a few plat though to start me off. I'm hearing a lot of stories about people that buy plat and get it mailed end up getting banned just for getting plat through the mail or even through face-to-face trade.

Does anyone have any solid info on this? Anyone know what safe amounts are?

I'm guessing if you ordered 100 plat off some site you'd be put on the radar pretty quick.

Well Sony isnt giant on banning people for using bugs ect ect, but they are for RMT (real money trading). So its a 50/50 i dont hear much about people being banned from eq2 for RMT. I would just do a few small plat buys instead of any large ones. That will help decrease your chances.

I can't see a few plat getting anyone banned the higher end items will sell for 15 to 20 plat every day.

I mailed a guy 22 plat two weeks ago he was exiling a character and I wanted more money on the other side.

When he got over to the other side he then mailed that money back to my character on the evil side.

I transfer plat between my few accounts quite often, usually when I'm takeing one characters plat and giving it to the other for starting a different tradeskiller.

I can say the denominations are a bit higher than 25plat, usually around 75-100 to lvl that tradeskiller to maxx. I have never had anyone ask me anything about it, or haven't had any trouble.

So just the transfer of plat isn't the basis of the bans if they are happening. I have used the mail and character to character.

However plz note that they get reports all the times from players that get spam, and they may be going to the websites. If the website has you post/send your char name/server in such a way they can see it, then that would be a no brainer.
