I am new here, and havent looked back at all the hint/exploit threads, but I came across this 2 months into the game and it happened again last night.
To level my provisioner, especially when using a macro, I found it extremely easy to use fish as a resource. They were easy to find and harvest since no one else really fishes, and there are only 4 variations per node, so you save some inventory space and you only have to switch recipes 4 times. This was great when using a bot/macro.
The bug I found 2 months into the game was: while harvesting fish in Nek, I came upon a spot on the river close to the bridge near the CL entrance and started to harvest from a fish node there. It turned out to be a never ending supply node of fish. I filled up 4-5 crates worth of fish off this one node, and it still remained.
I quikly leveled out of the t3 foods, and didnt need to go back into Nek for harvesting, so I forgot about that little never-ending node. However, I have a t4 recipe that called for some t3 foods in its final combine, so I went back into Nek, and near the second bridge, I found a node that was also never ending. I harvested 20-25 time off this one node, just to test it out, and it was just like the one I had gotten months before.
I tried to duplicate this with t4 fish in EL, but without success. But I did find one spot near the Hatecallers where there is a concave shape in the ground (but without water) but fish and other harvestables spawn there fast.
So, if you are leveling a provisioner, stick to the fish for leveling. It is faster and easier to use a macro when you only have 4 different thing to configure for. Also, you might come accross one of these never ending fish nodes like I did.
** Added note, Last night when I was harvesting fish, I got 2 uncommons from them the ones in EL and I got 2 from the never ending node in NEK.

I too find fishing to be a great source of food and wish to add my request that you do co0ordinate the spot. However how do you use a Macro to fish? This too looks interesting.

I have seen what your talking about- however, I think perhaps its not actualy a endless node, but rather a case of too many nodes and too few spawn spots. I carry ALOT of inventory space (couple 24 slot boxes, and the biggest collection quest bags- a 30 slotter, 24, etc). Some zones have less water than others (ie. Feerrot) but the game doesnt account for that when spawning nodes- so when it spawns a node, and it rolls a fish node, it checks the possible locs. and if theres none open, it stacks them. There could be a bug where its not realizing theres already a node spawned, I don't know. All I know is that I would fish a node, it would poof after 3 hits, but there would still be a node where the last one was- I could keep hitting the same spot (different nodes though) but it would eventualy run out. I just thought of a way I can check this out for sure using acids tools- I'll see what I can determine and report back.
