 Temporary Loot... Why.. oh Why... : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

There is nothing Like Seeing a named mob, realizing he is 4 levels above you and 2 cons higher as well, Being a 20 Inquisitor you realize your Undermatched.. So you gather your close friends and prepare for the fight of the minute... After losing your level 24 tank nearly twice with Two healers, Your Stand over your opponent after sending the last Smite his way which Leads him to his death, You loot the chest and For once in a life time You have won the lotto!! But nevertheless The item is TEMPORARY As in The second you Log off you lose the item.... My question to everyone is why would you Think they would add something like this.. To tease us?
I would really like some imput on this, Seeing as I am trying myself to find the logic Of items that you lose at the end of the day.

The item was a Sandstone ring from the Sandstone giant Named TerraThug who is on top of the hill near the Dervish camps in Commonlands....

Sounds like the shadowed men stuff on EQ1. For a quest maybe? Sort of like the NO RENT weapon you had to haul !@#$%^&* with for the Jboot quest.
That's the only possible explanation I can come up with. Was it No Trade as well? If not could possibly be used for a crafting combine. They've said already that there will be items like that for crafting.

Hmm, we've killed that guy quite a few times and haven't seen that drop yet. We've been killing him for the nice helm he drops. I guess we'll need to whack the poor fellow some more.
If you get it again, please post a screenshot as I'd like to see the item.

we've been camping terra and the named birdy in commons and seems temp ring does drop quiet regulary nice ring shame it disappears after wot seems to me a day tried a relog and it was still there.
