In North Qeynos, at the Temple of Life, in the pool, there are spawns of koalindl fish. Even with skill 400, you don't get anything from them. However, every time you try, you get a skill-up (until you're maxed).
If you're evil, you'll have to sneak in (watch for level 80 epic guards on horseback), but as long as you stay in the water, away from the ramp to the temple area, you should avoid aggro.
SOE has introduced more and more harvesting-related quests, and there are a lot of good Provisioned food options with fish, so for a couple minutes of time, it's worth maxing out your fishing.
Don't forget to use a Woodworker- or Tinkerer-made fishing rod to speed up your cycle time.

I've done this on eight characters now, with a starting skill as low as (21). Can you tell me what happened, traxtor?

I just kept gathering and my skills never went up.
Just says you fail to fish your target. over and over like over 100 times
I even prepared and got my cast time down to 2.5 sec
|

Didn't have my skill ups showing which threw me off when i recently accidently deleted my main chat window .

A small debate went on about whether or not this might be an exploit.
In talking to a few people, apparently it's been going on forever, just not widely known.
The trout fingerlings in Greater Faydark do the same thing.
A node in darklight wood used to do it, but was changed or fixed according to one participant in the discussion, leading her to believe this was either an exploit or just not fair as the evils don't have a comparable area.
Can someone shed some light? Exploit? Intended?
