Lauguage Exploit *NERFED* : EverQuest 2 Nerfed Info

This will work with any language quest. Get an item for a language quest, Giant Idol, Puzzle Box, Gnoll Totem etc.

1. Examine item (Do NOT accept)
2. Hand Item to another player
3. Click to accept
4. Get item back from player
5. Rinse and repeat.

You can get the full quest done for as many people as you want with 1 item.

Then go sell it on broker

Just one note - you have to have already examine one idol fully to get the quest. If you don't have the quest, you can't pass it back and forth and get credit.

WOW I new about this one and thought you all did too... You can do this with all the lore and legend items too. I am the Lore and Legend mistress of our guild and with the help of my guild, we have collected and finished them all so far.

Fixed... all language quest items are now flagged lore, no value, no trade.

You know what this means though? The server doesn't check to see if you have the item on you. I'm guessing its like a item ID system, if the item ID exists then it lets the 'examine' go through. Which means we could probably inject a few packets going to the server to fake the examine of the item, provided we have a valid item ID.

would be a good concept, but it only worked for a few things to me, didnt work for collection shards or bones. It would say item not in inventory. This was always this way

I wonder if person one has it and makes a trade window. Then person 2 examines it then cancels the trade window. Click the add to quest, and get update?

this has been nerfed (at least for language items). All language items are now no-trade.

Has this been nerfed on the live server?

yes. I've verified it for giant idols, requisitions (for the orc language) and the threat totems for the gnoll language. I suspect the others are the same way.
