3 Nights now and I can't get anything to work : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

I installed XU, the service plugin, windows debugger and downloaded some scripts but I can't get any of them to work.

Latest script I tried is HarvestBot_403 and radar. When I click on the radar thing at the bottom of EQ2 screen the game crashes to desktop.
When I click Start button for the harvestbot script, it gives the yellow letters Script Running, press F12 to stop and it immediatly switches to All scripts stopped. My character doesn't move, no buttons are pushed, nothing happens.

In the log part of XUleased window I get this over and over:

I clicked windowed, hook DX7,8,9, alternate hooking, force redraw, all of it with no results.

I run my desktop in 1600x1200 32bit, EQ2 windowed 1024x768. My character is in Forest Ruins because in the .ini file I see waypoints for that zone so I'm using that one to test it. When it works I'll think about making waypoints in the zones I need to harvest.

Any ideas?

Just a stab in the dark here, but maybe you should try it while playing in fullscreen (ALT+ENTER).

Also try some of these fixes i copied out of the FAQ:

Q: XU 4.x Runs fine But Scripts dont.
A: Delete your entire XU folder. Also make sure you dont have fraps, anti virus and other programs running. Open up xu and the program you want to use with XU. Open the XU Task bar, and then install the plugins needed for the specific game EX( EQ2service + EQ2unleashed Radar). If your game is workings then try doing a test script such as the mousemovedemo. For some games you need to make sure the compatibility checkbox selected which comes us with some scripting plugins.

Q: I have an AMD Processor and my XU wont work on EQ2

Q: I have installed the service tested to make sure it working correctly and loaded a script, but when i hit play the screen goes black or it just crashes.
A: Your script install was bad. Drag them to the uninstall line in the options tab and then reinstall them.

Q: My XUnleashed crashes as soon as i start it and im using XFIRE
A: You can not run XFire along with XUnleashed as it will crash your game.

Q: I start my scripts, and then i get an "All scripts stopped" error.
A:
1. install XU and your game servicer + w/e scripts you want to use.
2. Go to the Plugins tab and make sure the following are checked:
Standard Plugins
-XUnleashed V4 EXhume Scripts
-XUnleashed V2 Triggers
-XUnleashed V2 Macros
-XUnleashed V2 Scripts
3rd Party Services
-Wyvern's FFXi Servicer
Standard Services
-XUnleashed Windows Input Service
3. Go to the Options tab and Select Your Game, then make sure the following are changed:
-Launch Path: xxx\PlayOnline\FFXI\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\polboot.exe (Example for FFXI)
-DXFile (HOOK1): pol.exe
-DXFile (HOOK2): FFXiMain.dll (Example for FFXI)
-Alternate Hooking (checked)
-Auto Update Plugins (checked)
-Use Random File Names (checked)
-Hook DX 8 (checked)
-Force Redraw (checked)
-Ignore DirectInput (checked)
-Hook DX 9 (checked)
4. go to the XUnleashed tab and click 'Play' then log into ffxi normally. Once in the game make sure you can see the xunleashed task bar at the bottom of the screen. Open the V2 script tab and pick the script you want to use. Try to run it and you will get the same problem as before most likely. Exit FFXI.
5. Close and reopen XUnleshed. Then go to the option tab and scroll all the way up. You should see 'XUnleashed V3: DirectX 8 Test'. Select that and go to the XUnleashed tab. Then click play. When this test window shows up, take your cursor to the bottom of the window and get the xunleashed taskbar to appear. Get the V2 script tab open again and run all the scripts you wish to use. Then close this test. Then go back to Xunleshed and close and reopen the program. Go back to the Options tab and scroll back down to FFXI and make sure all your settings are still the way mentioned above. Then run FFXI and bam. The scripts should work now.
