Buff BOT problems with reactive heals. : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

I have been using the different versions of buff bots for a while now and can’t seem to tweak it just right for an Inquisitor. Has anyone had any luck with an Inquisitors reactive heals? Here are some of the major problems I am having:

1.In the latest version (v2.4) I tried setting up the initial combat string with my reactive heal. Then I setup the combat response string with the response needed to recast once it has worn off. This configuration I had 2 problems with. First was combat. The bot toggles in and out of combat recasting the reactive over and over burning through all its power. The only way to improve this is if I position the bot in a safe place and pull back to him so he can hit the target with his weapon. This only works about 50% of the time because he will not always face the target the first time he goes into combat. So he stops combat, goes back into combat and recast the reactive heal for no need and sometimes faces the mob. If he faces it and I have positioned the mob just right he will stay in combat and respond correctly for the most part. I have tried setting him up so he will not fight but then he will not respond to the initial combat and combat response string. If I setup the anytime response string the bot works like it is suppose to but it is a good indicator of using this program when you are running around with a guy casting heals every 30 sec’s for no reason.

2.Next is the priority of the combat response string. Once the person who the bot is healing drops below the threshold I set in the script he spasm his heal string fighting to get the health bar above the threshold. There are two problems here. First, the Inquisitors normal heals are ineffective on power usage. This is not an issue with the script but it is a problem. Second, is that the script ignores the combat response string when it gets locked in the heal string. So when the reactive heal, the best heal an Inquisitor has, wears off it is not recast. This causes the bot to stay locked into the heal string burning up all his power.

Am I doing something wrong or are others having issues as well? If anyone has any ideas, or has a working Inquisitor char.ini, please HELP! I am not sure if this matters but his level is mid 40’s fighting with a tank.

As far as #1 - something is wrong as he should not cast the Initial Combat again until a night figtht has started, even if there are multiples. Something is causing it to think it is done with the overall fight and then it sees it si being attacked and starts again. Can you please email or PM me the log file and INI of this happening. I had one other person say a simlar thing with it going in and out of combat mode. I use it all the time and this doesn't happen to me, so it's either a setup issue, or some trigger that I'm not seeing. I'm sure I can fix it.

On #2: It shouldn't ignore the Combat Response String even when locked in a heal as the response should be trigged, and it just won't cast until the heals are done. Active heals always have priority over compbat responses - since this is a generic setup, it can't tell a combat response is a HO vs. a reactive heal. I will look into the code on the combat response string, but my guess is if your heals are not getting people above your threshold, you are always stuck in active heals, and thus never gonig to see the combat response. Either low the heal threshold, or stop using active heals all together.
