Thanks for the quick fix on the Bot Rich!!
Sorn,
I think whats getting you is:
BuffSequenceSTR=qb3,Hunter's Instinct,9,1s,30s,Pathfinding,8,5s,900s,qb2,Makeshift Arrows,1,0s,600s in your ini file.
Currently I dont believe its possible to switch QuickBars in the BuffSequenceSTR, so you'll need to move makeshift arrows to qb3 or create a another QuickBar that has all your buffs in it. Hope that helps
Pyrrhus

xx_sorn_xx";p="58806 (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): Hey there,
I am not sure if I am doing this right, or if its a bug in the script. I am using a Ranger with the script, and I have some buffs seperated on different quick bars. The format listed in the script doesnt mention anything about seperate qb settings.
I have many combat buttons setup in my quickbars as well and eventually will want to take advantage of using them, I am assuming I would get the same error when trying to use buttons from different quickbars.
Here is the line in my char.ini file.
; format is: ; QUICKBAR,Name,KEY,CastTime,ReCastTime,Name,KEY,CastTime,RecastTime,... BuffSequenceSTR=qb3,Hunter's Instinct,9,1s,30s,Pathfinding,8,5s,900s,qb2,Makeshift Arrows,1,0s,600s
and the error from the log is:
3/12/2005 11:06:55 AM: *** ERROR: TranslateKey() Invalid key String (ActionClass.Load(qb2)) -> <Makeshift Arrows> 3/12/2005 11:06:55 AM: ERROR: Invalid Key to Translate - check sequence out 3/12/2005 11:06:55 AM: ERROR loading ActionClass - check sequence out
Thanks!
Sorry - right now the Buffs/Heals/Combat only work on the SAME quickbar per INI variable, so you will have to rearrange them.
The Response strings work from any bar. That is why you are getting the error.
Next version or so I will rewrite all the strings to allow for a QB on each command, was just not something I did when creating it.

Thanks pyrrhus - always love feedback!
Love to hear how people are using this? Any new tricks with the response sequences (or ways to make them better)

Is this program just like impossible to use unless you are a programmer or have scripting experience or am i just a newb? I'm clueless on how to use this thing, i'm looking for the plugin that says 'EQ 2 megabot' when i load up xunleashed and i never see it. Do i just run these scrips through the alrdy built in Xunleashed scripts plugin? if so, how? sorry if i sound completely ignorant but this thing sounds awesome and i just want some basic scripts to use for my bot to heal/buff automatically and cant get this thing to work

If you have already installed XU and the EQ2Service engine (from the downloads section), then you unzip the EQ2Megabot zip into the XU/Scripts directory so you have one file in there (the .vbs file for EQ2MegaBot) and a directory which all the other files are in.
You run this from the Scripts area of XU from in-game, it is not a plug-in.
Always try to run the built in demos first to ensure you have things setup properly. MouseDemo.vbs is a good one to make sure the basic XU is working and you can run scripts.
Send more feedaback on how far you get with things and we'll all try to help you along.

Thats because of all the whiners driving the programers away.

Auokill - I don't think loraik was picking on you...
But to answer your question, until Wyv gets back and gets the memory variables remapped, not for awhile. I have most of the bot working, but w/o knowing your health, it is useless. I am trying to tweak it in the next few days.
The biggest problem with an auto attack / hunter bot in EQ2 is it is nearly impossible for most char types to solo as you get womped by roamers or groups of single/double ups. I am still creating it, but not sure how much good a solo char is going to be.

Well I finally got this BuffBot running and I LOVE it! It makes playing so much fun! Thanks Richyrich!
I did have one question, Currently to get a heal I have to ask for it...but if the bot is fighting you get the "sorry im fighting message" Until Wyvernx gets the EQ2Service fixed is there a secquence I can setup that will make the Buff Bot heal me as soon as it recieves the tell? Like a command that will move to the top of the priority order list?Or will I have to wait till the EQ2service patch is in? The only way around this I have found so far is to just not have the BOT Assist me, instead I have him nuke a few times then I can ask for a heal then I tell him to nuke more.
Thanks again!!
STIRocks!

A pet heal function would rule. At least as of yet I haven't figured out to to make one work. If I setup my own response sequence it always heals me instead of my pet even when I'm not aggroed. Tried setting the target to NONE and TARGET with no luck.
Stirocks- I don't seem to have the same problem as you. Most of the time I've hit heal it does so. It might store in the buffer for a few seconds but it will heal me 90% of the time I'd say, even if the bot has aggro.
However, I got an idea for you. I set up response sequences that are set to heal the following targets: YOURSELF, MASTER and TARGET. I found that I needed to do this for now until the eq2service is fixed so the bot had a way of healing itself. Plus I've always had the TARGET one setup to heal people that may join my party. MASTER is my "just in case" the regular heal fails.

Stirocks/Mally,
Are you guys using HealSequenceSTR to setup your heals or ResponseSequenceSTR? The HealSequenceSTR is the best for heals as it will cycle through them and do the first one first if it can, but always go through the list until it finds one "ready" to cast. Anyone in the group can request a heal vai the HealMeSTR.
Ex of mine: HealSequenceSTR=qb4,Healing Ritual,1,1s,13s,Aldalad's Mending Chant,2,3s,9s,Totemic Aid,3,2s,4s,Minor Healing,4,2s,4s
If you are using ResponseSequenceSTR to do heals, right now, all response strings default to priority 2, which are not active while the bot is fighting. I have plans to make a priority able to be set for each command in the ResponseSequenceSTR, but not there yet. That is why they will heal you outside of fighting, but not in fight. Use HealSequenceSTR as it always has HIGHEST priority over all commands.
Also, I have a new version ready, but want to test it when WyvernX fixed the EQ2Service. It is a lot nicer as if you have the bot in FIGHT BACK mode, it will start helping you fight as soon as you or your pet engage or get jumped. It will keep it up until the fight is over, even if multiple. I used it on Monday and had a ball as it is so cool to see the bot just jump in and help you out. You can also ask them to STAND DOWN and they will both stop fighting and not auto attack until you put them back in FIGHT BACK mode. Works very nicely.
As far as Pet healing, I can add a Pet heal option, but first I'm going to have an option to auto heal anyone or pet that is below XX%. This should make the bot a lot smarter. It is a bit harder to do w/o being able to read all the background healths of your group (wyv, can you look for these memory vars?) as I have to target each group member and pet in sequence and check their health. If the bot is fighting, this can cause targetting to get all messed up - but I'm going to try!
Keep up the feedback and glad you love using it - I personally have a ball using it. I've run 2 bots and a main char - pretty neat little group you run around that you control.
