Fossil Temper Money Maker - Nerfed SOON! : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

I think that this was posted elsewhere on this site, but in case it wasnt, here's the guts of it:

Make Fossil Tempers (low level crafting recipe) using Tier 5 commons-

Bloodstone
Fulginate Clusters
Diamondine Clusters

ONLY CRAFT to CRUDE quality. Sell tempers to merchant, rinse & repeat.

You can make a few gold easy this way, depending on the price of the T5 commons.

Take advantage of this now, because this is now nerfed as of the LU10 patch which just hit the test servers yesterday. Has not hit the live servers yet, but it soon will, so make the most of it while you can.

Can you give an example on what to create? which item in particular seems to work the best?

Create something like Fulginate Bars?

Go to the Chemistry table with fulginate, Bloodstone and diamondine clusters. The level 3 temper is called "fossil temper" Have yourself loads of candles and get the cheapest aforementioned clusters you can from the broker, or better yet spends hours harvesting and get that nice rare. Load up on liquid and go to town making the fossal tempers.

This is really good for players that aren't t4 or 5, as the final product sells to the vendor for 6sp and 50ish cp crude. Keep in mind when ya make crude you only produce 1 temper, vice if you make pristine, you get 4 tempers from one combine. The pristine fossal tempers sell back for 1sp 48 copper. It would be quicker to make all crude, but it really doesn't matter.

Would take a good bit of time to make any decent cash, but if your broke any thing is better than nothing /wink

I bought out the broker and the fence. Then made and sold fossil tempers. Overall I made 6 gold in about 30 minutes at level 25.

Kinda slow but good for a low level.

Forgot to mention:

Profit is maximized if you buy the Tier 5's under 3s each.
You can also do this with Tiers 2-4.

Yup. Nerfed as expected once the LU10 hit the live servers.

Sigh...
