Harvest 1.46 issues : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Hey guys, I dont know if Im the only one but it seems 1.46 doesnt have the same range ( with the same range # ) as previous versions... it also seems to stop working period at some nodes and not even harvest them all together.. ( freeze up ) .. kinda weird.. plz post if your having similar issues. I tried running the bot for an hour and only got 14 harvested items. so I went back to a previous version till this one is finished being tweaked.

Not sure what to tell you on this one. The routines that locate nodes - harvest etc... have not changed in several versions. The only changes made of late have been with navigation etc... My best guess is that there are some packet-loss - timing issues going on for you at the moment and should clear up. I hope!

If you still experience trouble with this post again and give me some more details as in zone - and route used etc... I'll try and dup the problems and correct if possible.

alright, still happens lol I use comcast pro cable package and I dont think im having enough pkloss ( if any at all ) that would stop the timing of the program.. not exactly sure whats going on from my end though.. it could be something to do with XU ?? dunno really.... but what happens is Im going around harvesting and I run up to something and just stop... no more harvesting till I do the running start thing like everyone else does to move around.. I understand the features and such just I hate having to stop in the middle of doing HW and !@#$%^&*.... kinda sux.. also with your new positioning of player to node you run over some.. would be nice if you could move it back say a step ? and is it possible to set a feature in the ini to define how you want to handle unharvestable or maximum possible attempts per node or something of that sort... when harvesting stuff that you cant ( in feerrott ) atm it seems like its giving it 15-18 attempts.. I only want 8 attempts tops.. if I cant get it in 8 I dont want to screw around with it..

path " not going to define it because I dont want peeps duping it, but its around the cythan area then to the right, I dont have a problem with version 1.4 but I want the new features of stop start pickup and such that 1.46 provides "

Im not having a problem selecting nodes, Im not having a problem with the pathing ( not really anyways it still delays a bit and is odd but works ) the script just freezes at certain nodes.. my INV isnt full, and yadda yadda....

wow, your damn greedy. These guys are helping everyone with their awesome code that allows guys like you to have an edge over the normal eq2 player and your worried about someone "duping" your feerrott route. I hope you never get it working.

I have to agree. I actually had a similar problem and could help fix it but that is weak. I posted my Feerrott route in a previous thread and it is in the Cythan area as well. Wish I could help...

psir when I already know of 15 or so people using this exact program in the same exact zone that I am harvesting in ON my same server.. I dont need 15 people clearing the same area that I am trying to clear with a fine toothd comb.. that just makes it worthless for me to bother using this service.

I agree with not posting paths. This stuff is already handed to you on a silver platter. Having to make up your own paths isn't that much of a hardship and it ensures that folks will be doing at least slightly differnt things.

Remember, there is a 90% chance that there are SOE employees reading these posts.

Imagine if there were 5-6 folks all using the same paths on each server harvesting tier 4-5 stuff. All behaving botlike in similar fashions. SoE can easily know where to look for you.

If folks are "forced" to make up their own paths, they will be doing things less obviously.. everyone will find their own angle etc.

If you arent savy enough to make up a path... then the simple radius harvesting is still a very good solution.

Personally, I would strongly hesitate to use any publicly posted paths. ESPECIALLY if I was going to be "half afk" helping out around the house or something while harvesting.

I would make exceptions though for anything set up to harvest an instanced zone. There we don't step on each other's toes and are not under supervision. That said, if it includes zoning out and back again, it might be funny to sit outside that zone and watch people come and go.

on that note redman I would think several times over before ever harvesting an intanced zone, especually since every time you go into that zone your player account keeps track of it...

I dont mind using harvest bot to harvest zones like feerrott because half the nodes are in trees and its such a "busy" zone that its just like friggen EJ in eq1 ... I just dont like it ... other zones that are more active than I tend to not bother harvesting...

on the same note Im not going to be paying friggen 4 plat for an ebon when it seems all of the exploiters are wearing epon and the tradeskillers... yet Im outfitted in all master chest drops in half the time it took them to buy there gear....

also if you dont know how to write your own damn path... something that is that simple.. then you shouldnt be using this program to begin with... were not all here to hold your hand and share a SINGLE damn thing.. I pay for my ability to use this software.. I PAY to use this software because it has the FEATURES that I want and is ABLE to do things that I want.... I in not part have a responsibility to give out my paths. IF the writter of the program wanted my paths and asked me for them in a PM or EMAIL then I would more than likelly hand them over gladly.. I highly doubt this to be the case because 9 times outta 10 there using ones that are better than I can write simple because they understand the program better.

prirusmojo I believe you are just expecting everyone to hand something to you because you paid Xunleashed... I dont work for them nor get paid by them so why the !@#$%^&* would I offer what I make for free.... I dont pay other people to give away what I make. get a life.

who said i need your path? I got 4 paths made for feerrott and all of them I made myself. If you want help dont be such an !@#$%^&*. Everything here is donated by the people who add to the community. Yes, I dont know know programming, Yes I havnt added to the community but atleast I do share my info for those who dont understand. You leach off of everyone elses input to the community but have nothing to donate to the same community that gave you what you use. The basic harvester script that wiv wrote is ok but im pretty sure they one your using now was made by someone who paid the same damn $25 you did. So how about this, I think everyone who does add stuff to make this site better just stop now and we can have nothing for thankful people like us and un-thankful jerks like raprgz.
