Harvesting Macro? : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Hi guys new to this and have a question. Is there a macro (or is it even possible) to have you toon move around, harvest any nodes that are in the area of him (say within visual range) and then return to a set point and wait for spawns?

So say toon is standing at 0,0,0 and a node spawns within visual range the toon auto runs to node, starts to harvest and returns to 0,0,0 if no other nodes are within visual distance?

Its definitely possible, but i think most are waiting until more info becomes public about mem adresses and even the merging of xunleashed before automating everything in EQ2.

May I ask what is the hopes of the Merger? Does XUnleashed offer a program and you guys have the macro's?

That's the short version of the story. This site has traditionally done very well in terms of exploits and guides, while xunleashed has specialized in macros. Xunleashed is a highly advanced macro program that enables macro writers to show in-game menus for the macros as well as display all sorts of information (web pages, maps, you name it).
The merger should bring together the best of both worlds

Akanon pretty much hit the nail on the head. But the 'hopes' of merging with xunleashed are extremely high, its just WHEN. They've had trouble trying to actually merge the 2 forums together, they just hired and professional guy to do it and i think it was ment to go ahead last weekend. Maybe it'll happen this weekend.

You guys have got to be kidding. I just paid $25 bucks to join this site and theydont have a simple macro program for harvesting nodes available for download???

There is a program here that does that it just requires you beable to use a ranged weapon. There is only one other harvesting bot program out there I know of and it is very unstable IMO. I had to run it on a slightly slower Intel machine due to it not being compat. with AMD.

Also the crafting bot here is far superior to any other crafting bots I have access to, you just have to use alittle brain power to set it up for your configuration.

If $25 is a life altering break the bank issue then maybe you shouldn't be looking for access to a cheat site. These sites are all about the support over time and what people come up with to skirt the system. You can't just buy a subscription and expect there to be a solution to every way you want to cheat here. It just doesn't work that way, and there is nothing "simple" about making a bot for harvesting.


As a side note on the XUnleashed merger topic be aware 1/2 of their working add-ons for their macro software does not work on AMD machines. They are working on a fix (I hope) but for now us AMD users have to wait. I know XUnleashed harvesting bot. Radar & Megabot do not work on AMD systems.

I saw a post this morning that said the merger will happen on the 21st, I'm just hoping that person is correct!!

A) I assumed it was simple due to the sheer number of posts on the EQ2 forums accussing everyone and their brother of using a harvesting bot. Yes, yes i know what assumptions do......

B) Yes, I read about the one on the XUnleashed site, but since you have to be able to use a ranged weapon it does no good for my mage. I want to use the bot/macro to lvl up the DREADFULLY boring harvesting skills so I can simply do heritage and other quests. I just expected that some other talented individual found harvesting to be as boring as I do, and had worked to overcome this problem by now.

C) Thats why I use Intel Pentium 4 3.2 with HT, and not AMD.

Yeah I know what your saying about people complaing about the boting, you would think everyone and their brother is doing it from the way they complain but in reality it is actually a group of people who live on the forums and live to complain.

The harvesting bot is extreamly hard to get it setup with all the variables just to make it move around, not to mention dodge the red cons, know what to harvest, how to deal with things in trees/hillsides, ect. I can't script to the extream as some of these people can but I understand the code and am working twords scripting my own stuff.

Tault is suposed to be berging with XUnleashed in the near future so soon you will have access to 2 sites for the price of one and in time I think you will see the combined heads of both sites comming up with a bot that is beyond our dreams.

I personally have bought a subscription to both sites and have learned alot form them, with Pickled's crafting script I now have 3 toons over lvl 35 and I can make items to sell and buy all the resources from other players so I don't have to harvest at all and I am still making about 25g a night.

I am definitely looking forward to having access to the EQ2Services plugin by WyvernX over at XU. The possibilities are pretty awesome when you think about what you could do with the spawn list and other info.

I must admit that you couldn't fill a thimble with what I know about programming...except for maybe using Basic, which is REAL old school.

then your lucky, most scripts are done in basic as of right now.
