I know there is one. I know a guy on my server has it cause everytime Ive grouped with him he would win all the masters. Every single one it was the 6th time Ive grouped with him I picked up on it. Is there anyway I can get my hands on it?

I haven't seen anything anywhere that would do this; in fact I would be amazed that this was possible considering that all the numbers are generated on the server and not the client.

I think it MAY be possible, if perhaps you sent like a malformed accept/deny packet or something, but I'm not technical enough to know crap like that for sure.

It doesn't work like that. All the client does is ask of 6 numbers and the server gives it 6 random numbers. Thats it.
Ofcourse, nothing is impossible though. But don't sit around on this subject for too long, because if it is exploitable it definately wouldn't pop up here before it gets fixed. And thats a fact.

ill share something with you guys that has worked for me...
its a game of chance, so if you chance on the good stuff you will get more chance to win it...
this is what i do, and people always bug me asking me if i am hacking the game...
i only lotto on the GOOD stuff, not the crap, i only lotto on masters, fabled, and legendaries.... an i win alot more than others, i have been doing this forever and i really think that it does work, when you get a lotto window up, and lets say theres 4 items in chest, and 1 is fabled, just loto on that 1 item using the [selected] button...
it works for me...i dont win everything but i get a much higher chance, and people !@#$%^&* all the time asking if i use hacks...
i better get some points if somewone confirms this to ^^

Oh sorry, i was talking about the actual lotto. Ala the goblin gambling thing.
But the same thing applies here, chowming's 'trick' does not work. His chances don't improve. When you lotto for something all your basicly doing is a /random 1 100. Your computer asks the server for a number between 1 and 100, and the server gives you one. When you roll for an item, everyone asks the server for a number between 1 and 100 and the server spits out a number for each person and then compares them and sees which one is the highest. There is NO way you can interfere with this process and therefore there is no way to 'hack' it.
When you loot a master chest with 4 items in it and you lotto for all 4, your doing a /random 1 100 4 times. Their all totally independant.
So in actual fact, if you roll for only the one item then your chances of winning something have DECREASED.
If you want to win something then you'll want to roll for all 4 items.

ok, this hasnt been confirmed or anything, but the whole radomness of lotto is BS... i tryed a little experiment a couple weekends back...i 6 box so i set up a berzerker with only a shield and armor doing nothing but taunting, a coercer only mezzing, a fury only healering with the occasional nuke, a troub for the buffs, and a wiz/warlock for dps... in 500 kills the wiz/warlock won 76.35% more then the othr classes... so it looks like the lotto system is based on dps...

...which is why I win nothing as a Ranger, lol.

Is the wiz/warlock always in the same spot for the group, i.e. Number 4 of 6? I know that some people on the Official forums posted how depending on position people won more often than not.

isnt there a way to "lie" to the client, intercept the numbers and change them to match what you want?

the wizzy/warlock usually swapped between 1st and 3rd/4th...

No Kenbee11, there is no way to change the outcome of a random lotto in EQ2. End of story.
About the issue reguarding the position of the player in the group. Yes, there was indeed a bug where players 1 and 6 would get uncommonly lucky. This was due to the way they originally calculated the random numbers. This bug was fixed almost one and a half years ago.
The bug is gone, you can search the official EQ2 players forums where you'll find the devs admiting to the bug and fixing it.
