New high status rent reduction items : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

With the latest patch Carpenters got a bunch of new items that they can make. There are a couple of NICE odditys though.

Normal tier 3 pristine items = 30 status cost reduction
Rare tier 3 Pristine Items = 100 (but rares are so uh.. rare!)

Most tier 3 pristine versions of old store bought stuff = 40-50 status reduction.

SPECIAL tier 3 pristine versins of old store bought stuff = 100 status.

Yep these items are worth as much status reduction as rares... but they are made from regular ash/carbonite/etc.. not rares.

Special items:
- Pristine Fine Landscape Painting
- Pristine Painting of the Sun god
- Pristine Generic Wall Sconsce

At 100 a pop, 22 sconsces will get you a 2 room place in NQ or SQ for no status cost and under a gold a week.

I was cashing in on first creation experience and when I started inspecting these items I was floored. A warning though. Only the PRISTINE versions are good. The one step down versions are like 5 status... much worse than with the older recipes that scale linearly.

That sucks, you know they're going to nerf it soon. I wouldn't rely too much on the 100 status on the sconces, because after it gets nerfed, your room is gonna want status again.

Most of the rest of the new items are 50ish. If these do get nerfed, then I'd expect them to be around 50 which is still decent. OR they nerf ALL of the tier 3 new stuff down to 30 which would suck.

No worries personally, I moved to SQ (hate it!! too far from uh.... everything) and my appt costs 2k status weekly, I have over 3k in status items that are permanently there, then there's the extra stock of sconsces for sale. That puts me over 4500.

their should be no nerf in the future of these item. The reason they have the nice status is so that people would buy them instead of the ones that were being resold (bought in large quanitities before the merchants stopped selling them)

To make up for this they cost ALOT more to make (think it was 5 or 7 fuels more per piece)

I would like to say that thanks to the new status. I nolonget pay ANY status for my 2 bedroom house on the docks of east freeport. I'ed haev a 3 bed room if they didn't cost 64g a week.

I sell these for 6G each or so. Sold a few shortly after the change over but then it has slowed down since then.

I'd love a 3 bedroom place too but they seem to be a bit more spendy than I'm happy with. I'm rent free in south qeynos in the midrange 2 bedroom place. It sucks though, too far from my bind spot in greystone and no bank or transport in zone. I'll be movint to qeynos harbor once I get some more stuff made so I can be status rent free there too.
