I have personally seen a tank walking past aggro mobs in a T7 raid zone. I am not sure if this is some sort of exploit or something induced by some sort of third party program, but it would be really nice to know how this works. I have searched the forums without finding any info on this, so I am assuming those who know about it/do it are trying to keep it really quite.
It also seems like there may be a way for tanks (certain classes only?) to stop from running out of power *during* combat. This sort of reminds me of that spam your power buff thing that got nerfed only it happens in combat and it stops your power level from decreasing significantly. Maybe all this crap is just part of some third party hack, I have no idea. Any thoughts?

1) If you know the guardian couldn't you just ask the person?
2) At one point guardian could spam offensive stance for power regen. This is because guardian rely on STR for power. But this was fixed sometime ago.

1) I'm not sure they really wanted to draw attention to it.
2) This seems to working now as opposed to something that got nerfed awhile ago.

the method hasnt been posted... so nowone can say yay or nay...
i can get past agro mobs like this:
1: start running
2: click standby on modem
3: when you have reached your destination, click standby on modem again.
this could have made it seem like he was running past agro mobs, but actually, as soon as he pressed standby it ran his character to where he needed to go with no agro...
was he moving laggy and wierd looking when you saw him? if so then this is how he did it...

I think the admin was asking about the power exploit.

I am not saying that the old power exploit works again. I am saying that i think there is some other way that this player stopped losing power or at least made it look that way consistantly. It could also be some sort of power item exploit or something. Basically, I decided to post this stuff because I have seen these cases up close and personal in game in real time. If no one knows anything about them, at least they are something to look out for. Also, it is not a matter of getting past aggro mobs; it is a matter of going up to aggro mobs and standing there as if you were a GM or something that turned aggro off. Me and others who saw it were rather shocked by it.

well in t7 raids, the tank shuoldnt be running out of power, he should have necro hearts, conj essences, peeps feeding him power, and if he has a power regen in his grp, more to that, i dont think he is bugging/exploiting anything for power unless it stays at full power

I could just be good power regen, but it is kind of suspicious when someone's power gets to a certain point and then seems to stop changing entirely, and then the same thing happens again in the next big fight. Again, I just wanted to throw this stuff out here in case people have seen similiar situations or know of the causes. I have been playing EQ2 since beta and EQ1 for over three years before that, so I think I have a pretty good idea of when something more than just the regular game is going on.

Humm...raided again last night and it was like night and day with this power thing. The tank had the same power regen classes as usual but had a much more realistic power loss over time. If there really was another power exploit, it looks like LU25 nerfed it.
As for the aggro thing, I tried that suspending the modem bit, and it worked well. If the tank really was using that, it must have just been for the game itself because of ventrillo still working. The only thing i am still suspicous of is how you can let eveyone else see you walking past mobs and how you can pull while doing this. I wouldn't think this sort of thing would happen if your connection was suspended. Is it possible to slow your upload down enough to get the benefits of doing this without completely losing your connection or being unable to perform actions? Oh well, I will keep my eyes and ears open for any more clues assuming LU25 hasn't nerfed whatever was doing this as well.

I have seen an interesting bug on two different charcters now. Almost all non-factioned mobs in a zone don't attack, even though they are normally KOS to all.
In TS giants, gnolls and 90% of skeletons, for example.
It's weird, and seems character-related (permanent "bug"). A guildy at L70 has it, and one of my lowbie alts does too, which has made for nice harvesting!

I can confirm that whatever this bug is, this is what has been going on with the tank in question. I wonder if there is any way to trigger this on purpose.

Since the last patch... I have, at times, been fighting stuff that is normally aggro to me to begin with, and have it all of a sudden go un-aggro. It's wierd.

Is there a coercer in the MT group? We have some great mana manipulation spells that perhaps you aren't aware of that might be causeing the "effect"... just a suggestion
