Why in the world can't you guys make it so when you server reset or take servers down your scripts stay running? This is getting !@#$%^&*, you just can't up and yank the bot driver when they are in the middle of agro land....
You know SOE resets their server every day at the same time... Maybe and I am reaching here you guys could do the same (reset when SOE does)??? That gives you a whole hour to trip over the chord as much as you want... Yanking the scripts (resetting the server) 2 hours after I hit the sack gives me zero gain for the night and that pisses me off.
Lets get this fixed guys/gals or whoever..... Bots don't bot if the service isn't on thus they get killed and can't bot.....

Better idea, why not make it so it take much longer if the client lose connection with the server before it just stop. I agree, many time I woke up in the morning to see my bot just standing there with no script running because the server reset, or having to wait to start my script because I could not connect because the server were unavailable.
Cant you make it so it check every couple of hours or even better have it run even if server are unavailable for a day and if after 1 day the client didnt reach the server then you cant use it.
I know that you do that to prevent people that are not registered to use the client but think at all your paying customers that cant use it. The first reason people use script is to be able to play when they are not there, if you reset server in the middle of the night you remove that feature. Its not too bad when your char is in a safe spot but many times its not and die, no big deal in EQ2 but its a pain to get your char back where it was, rebuff, set everything up etc.
Thanks,
PLEASE give us some feedback on this.

Fyi scripts keep running while XUnleashed is trying to reconnect, it just hides the windows / text.
And setting downtime close to when EQ2 has downtime doesn't help anyone playing any other game with XU. Which may also have downtimes... And those at another hour than EQ2 does...

Asl18fs you are sadly mistaken, when they pull the XU servers the scripts STOP. This is confirmed with Harvester and Megabot. Sure they start again when they bring the servers back online but whats the point when your toons are dead....?
Simple FACT is the scripts do not function while the servers are down.
My suggestion is if then need to reset the servers they do it at the same time ALL THE TIME so EVERYONE can plan around it not just yanking them when they feel like it. I am a member of several different sites that use server connections to verify that they are registered and not hacking the software and this is the only site that actually stops it's software when they go down.

We are looking at alternatives, but most of them will force us to do this way for more of a security reason.

I did not know that it stopped scripts if the server went down. If I did know that on the purchase I probalby would of looked at another scripting engine. Since I don't run a 24/7 operation anymore doesn't much effect me but I could tell you for sure when I did run things everynight if I would get shut off because of some crap like that I would of been looking elseware for sure.

It probably is an oversight. It should keep scripts running.
If it is not, please submit a bug report in the Bug Tracker URL above on the left side menu.
Feel free to submit ANY bugs there so the XU guys can look at them and get them fixed. Posting here on the forums just lets you vent frustrations, posting on the Bug Tracker gets things fixed!
