It might need another update. I'll check it out tomorrow, (really tired from patching daoc and ffxi).

I have to click "object names" off and back on again to get the names up. (EQ2Service thinks everything is an object right now.)

Which radar download (main, AMD "temp") is updated, or are they both updated? The download info for them doesn't show a recent update.

The AMD Fix is just a GUI front end.
The main file that will need to be updated to current is the EQ2Service.
So, do a force update, then manually reinstall the GUI front end again.

I did the above and still have the same interface as before. Are the new options you're talking about supposed to show up? I don't notice anything different. Are there any more filters than just the Lower Level Filter, as that's the only one that shows for me. I've checked the download section as the above poster did and only see old versions of both the frontend and services, so I just assume that the forcing updates in XUnleashed takes care of this. When I do so, it goes from Unknown to ok, I'm using version 3.0.0.7 for the map plugin and 1.2.1.0 for Servicer.

No, the AMD temp fix dll (map plugin) actually has less features. Although the look is the same. It is just to allow AMD processor users to have a radar too until a better fix can be found.
Remember, if you install the AMD temp fix, you cant use the force update as it will replace it with the Intel version that doesnt like AMD processors.

I hate to say it but I am having the same issue. Nothing looks different and I do not see any way to search. Is there something we are supposed to be editing in a file? I did force an update and I manually reinstalled the radar from this link and nada.
Also, have you given us a way to change the text color/size on the map yet? That yellow is REALLY making it hard for me to read anything!
Thanks again Wyv

The only differences are subtle.
ie players are not blocks instead of circles. They now have arrow pointers showing their direction, etc. Little things.

Got it I had seen that but forgot that was a change. lol. And I had been thinking you added a text filter but am now realizing that people were refering to the checkbox filters.
I am sure you have already thought of this but it would be very cool if there was a way either in game or in the INI to make a custome filter for text. Lets say, only display mob names that begin with "a terror" or some other arbitrary text.
And I am still begging for a way to change the text color on the map. I am playing at a high resolution and yellow just does not show up well. I have to get in real close to read it =/
